Could be a huge blow that, Cissoko has not looked up to it at all. That staff member I mentioned that was pushing for the 3-4-3 might get his wish. Just been told the same. Erhahon out for 4 weeks too. Quote

I agree on Cissoko, but if it's right that Gale's out for that long then it might offer him a run of regular starts, which in turn might give him time to play himself into some form Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted October 9, 2025 Posted October 9, 2025 With Forss able to go wide, I'm not sure it is too bad a bit of news. As long as ACD stays fit that is. Quote
Whitesince63 Posted October 9, 2025 Posted October 9, 2025 Crikey I hope neither of those are true just as we’re hoping to kick on. Both big blows but Erhahon in particular for me. Quote
Eddie Posted October 9, 2025 Posted October 9, 2025 Time for squad depth to show if true. I reckon Cissoko has got something. I agree he’s been poor and really wasteful coming on as a sub, and it’s a bit hopeful, but I reckon he’s the kind of player that given only 20 mins or so try’s everything he can to show what he can do, which means it’s often not the right answer. Very much glass half full but maybe a run as a starter will give him the time to show what he can really do. Erhahon is a blow, although Simons and Morley is no bad option. Quote

If Gale's out till 5th of Jan or more he'll miss 14 games, there's no way Cissoko is starting all 14 (I bet no outfield player will). If ACD can play on the left (I doubt it but you never know), JDC could do the right wing with Christie right back. Quote

Lt. Aldo Raine Posted October 9, 2025 Posted October 9, 2025 I think you're overthinking it Just give Cissoko a run and see how that goes first Quote

We've finally got an attacking 442, or 433. I hope we never again see three centre halves, let alone wing-backs. Quote

Johnnyrotten Posted October 9, 2025 Posted October 9, 2025 Well at least we've sorted a plan B for if Gale gets injured. Next week, ACD. Quote
Chrisj Posted October 10, 2025 Posted October 10, 2025 Well would the manager come out and give Burton any ideas of availability. They will set their team up on the basis Gale is playing. We will find out at 1.45 tomorrow who’s lying Quote

If a player is likely unavailable for a while, it's nor particularly common for a club to keep it quiet. In our case it would likely be a like for like swap anyway, with no great change to the normal approach. Quote
desperado Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 Not caught up properly. Anything revealed post match about Gale and Erhahon? Quote

No. Gale had an issue, I think SS said from the Northampton game which resurfaced this week - knee ligament but they don’t know the extent. Erhahon felt a groin issue during training this week I suspect they kept it under wraps on the Friday presser because they weren’t aware of the details and/or didn’t want to give anything away re the Burton game. Or maybe SS knew the grass was going to be long and that Burtons sprinkler had broke so he’d be better leaving those two players out and saving them for Huddersfield. Quote
gonzo Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 I full expect SS to be hauled to the Hague for barefaced lying in the public eye. Quote

This is the kind of positivity I can get with on here at the moment. 😁 Yesterday was as shite as it gets, but I'm yet to be convinced that we're no hopers FFS. Quote

desperado Posted October 14, 2025 Posted October 14, 2025 Heard something today, one of those someone knows someone etc so could be bollocks… But backs up what the original rumours said. Gale out for 12 weeks. Erhahon 8 weeks. Shit if so, so hoping they are bollocks rumours. Quote
