Few years ago I remember seeing us play with no spirit no energy it was soul wrenching. Looked at this kid and he looked absolutely fed up and I thought you poor sod, last night there was a kid behind us and the smile on his face when they were doing the Thunderclap was absolutely infectious, when Dapo scored he looked like ge was going to burst.

Thats what it’s all about

Great to hear. I grew up watching Big Sam’s team of Campo, Okocha et al giving bloody noses to the likes of Arsenal, so it was inevitable I’d get hooked.

For the kids watching us over the past 10 years though, it must have been absolutely dire and can’t have inspired many to stick with it.

I’ll fight ya for him 😄 I think I want to adopt Fossey too. What a lad he is.

Watched online cos away with biz (boo shit fan) and thought we had to be v good cos Cambridge were no mugs.

Started off with momentum from Sat, and then scored when they were on top - all augers really well.

I’d assume going forwards that Dempsey would be the one to add when we rest/protect Lee. On midfield I thought the central 2 were great - MJ really stepping up getting in faces and good “dark arts” the last couple of games is v welcomed.

Defence defo doesn’t crumble as much with Jones in and Trafford at the back. We’re just not as panicky, even though we still have dodgy moments.

Good job keeper wasn’t a priority eh @Casino 🐸 🤣🤣

Right Club shop.

Bring your lightsaber.

All outfield players celebrating every goal on Saturday and last night is a great sign of togetherness. The simple but makes me proud for some reason to see all the players jogging off at half time, whilst the opposition wearily traipse off the pitch.

Im struggling to sleep due to excitement, wtf is happening!

Runninh off at halftime gives that slight mental edge to let the opposition know that we aren’t tired, they’ve not worked us and they’re in for a tough second half. I love it

One of Evatt's "non-negotiables".

Superb performance

Makes sense and I love it too.

Morley proper reminds me of Ross the Boss, how he gets on the ball. Good player that lad.

We are bloody brilliant at the moment.

The tweak of the formation and the additions of Trafford, Fossey, Morley and Charles have improved us so much.

Agree. Less of the patient tippy-tappy does mean giving up large parts of possession. Possession base football worked well last season but it took IE a few months to realise we're not Man City and it doesn't work that well in L1.

Trafford. He might be the answer to our keeper issues but the Im not convinced by the lad yet. Needs more of a Gilks mouth on him. Still, can't argue with his clean sheets. The ones in front of him deserve credit too.

Loving my football currently.

Only gripe I had last night was a fan behind me bellowing “get it forward” on 87 minutes, when we played it backwards to Jones on the right to start yet another move. For fuck sake.

But fuck me, anything is better than the library it’s been for the last 3 years.

On more than one occasion I've pitched up late and walking to my section genuinely wondered if it'd been postponed for some reason...

Mark Bonner is surprisingly upbeat about getting beat by us. Seems a very level-headed manager.

He was after we beat them at our place last season, that was a great performance by us as well

Not sure on Trafford yet either, his kicking is suspect for me and he got bollocked 4 or 5 times last night by one defender or another for not giving a shout or not coming for the ball. That said he's saved the odd shot he's had to so can't grumble at that.

Definitely missed Lee last night but Charles, Fossey, Morley all look very good signings and the new lad who came on had a good touch on him.

Big fan of Johnston and he was brilliant last night.

He hasn’t really been truly tested, his kicking needs improvement but his commanding of his area is excellent. Seems to communicate well, although Johnstone went absolutely bananas at him for not giving John a shout when he had to nod it behind.
The signs are encouraging especially how young he is.

To be honest,  I'd have thought keeping hold of the likes of you who knew the glory days of Djorkaeff, Okocha, etc., and then suffered the last ten years would be more difficult than keeping hold of someone who only knew the shit days and now it's getting good.
