Less & less long-term remand these days.

The more violent the crime the more likely it is, also if it'd feared that being free will have potential for abuse (ie. Attempts to intimidate witnesses, fear of absconding, or temper with or hide evidence).

I'd be surprised if he was remanded for more than the immediate few days while procedures are fulfilled.

Thats not defending him, it’s just jury by social media isn’t always necessarily the best move.

These days it's more often "guilty by accusation" followed by "found not guilty by a jury sympathetic to your cause".

It was odd. Just had a look the statement originated from the Mail Online but they've pulled it now it appears
