Johnston didn't do well enough marking their man for the corner goal but fair play, put it right on his head at the back post.

Yeah same here. Thought it was a bad header but actually Kachunga does it all right technically; just one of them things.

There was also a chance first half not been mentioned from what I can see where Charles took it on himself and if he lifts his head up Dapo is in on his own; add the MJ to Charles effort and we’ve created a fair bit there. Some folks on twatter going on as if we’d been battered.

Watching their goal I can’t understand the critique of Evatt (man on the back post if we’re picky maybe but loads don’t do that these days), it was just piss poor by Johnston - misjudged it and weak as piss. Not a good week from him. Is he really a player Wigan were up in arms about big getting?

It’s been a very disappointing week tbh because come May I don’t think we will be a million miles off and these games & Burton could be the difference

but yes it’s progression and a few improvements in certain areas and we will be ok next season

100 % Traffords fault. It's a lofted ball to the back of the six yard box. He's not being blocked off and he should be coming to claim or punch it. He can see it all the way. I like him, he's young and he will learn, but that goal is his fault.

Johnston starting position isn’t great, he gets underneath the flight of it, looks like he’s in two minds

No way should Trafford be collecting that cross, should of done better with the header but that cross was 10 foot over his head and it’s Johnstone’s ball to deal with.

Is the correct answer. You watch it is slow motion, that corner is far too lofted for Trafford to get that, unfortunately the defenders fault, misjudges the flight, jumps too early and is actually jumping backwards, so by the time the ball drops, their attacker doesn't have to jump that high to win the header

That was my view as I watched it from behind the goal.  I'm still of the view that anything in the 6 yard box is for the keeper to deal with but that might be old school.  Johnston shouldn't have been beaten so easily though.

Running past bodies to get to a ball that the defender should have covered isn’t wise if he doesn’t get there the goals wide open.  9 times out of 10 the defender does his job or the keeper saves it at the back post.  

Johnston should have made a decision attack the ball or the man, he did neither. That’s his bread and butter. 
 

Been a few times with him this season with indecisions like that.

He also lacks height as a centre half for me, he did ok as a defensive centre mid but not good enough in that position or at centre half to be a starter in a team looking to push on next season.

Johnson is totally shite in the air

Johnstone is poor in the air suspect on the deck and is as aware of what’s around him as Stevie Wonder. 
when we switched to a 3 they all seemed to calm down but I think that’s more about Gethin returning. The last couple of weeks they have all looked absolutely panic stricken again

one thing that boiled my piss in the first half.. Aimson being our spare man all of the time. Every time their keeper restarted their spare CB received the ball. Dapo couldn’t press as he was stood 5 yards in front of their number 4 (who had the freedom of the pitch for 45 minutes) another one of their midfielders was stood right up on our back line who MJ was picking up. Why not let Aimson have him push MJ on to the 4 and let Dapo pressure the ball player? 
Dapo isn’t responsible enough so that number 4 just had the run of the game. 
 

how it took IE 45 minutes to see that I’ll never know. He changed it 2nd half which meant they had to go long and we picked up the 2nd ball and how we started to build pressure

Not sure what people see in Sadlier in all honesty. Certainly not from a starter.

Neil is in danger of keeping what could be some decent crowds down next season, that saying where I sit now has become chocker every game.

Height can be compensated with reading and strength in his leap. Don’t see that with him certainly not in the air.

If we’re doing well next season that’ll dictate attendances, I doubt they’ll be many boycotting because of Harts decisions.

Always positive, always comfortable in possession, can take the ball in tight areas under pressure and come away with the ball.  Rarely loses possession but doesn't take the safe option, always looking to create, with pace.  Can put a quality cross in from either flank.  Can shoot accurately from distance with either foot.  Strong.  Decent pace and speed of thought.
