Jetparks or whatever is ok

But its taxis for us these days and its prob cheaper

Land back at an ungodly hour and then heading back up to sunny Scotland straight from the plane otherwise would have got taxis to and from my mums.

seen a deal to stay at Marriott and leave car there. Might give @Trafa shout see what he can come up with for me.

When I worked at MAN. If doing a night shift you could park in the short stay carpark instead of having to get the staff bus in. I got stuck with a delayed flight and went over the allowed time we could stay in carpark. Fuckers tried charging me something daft like £24 for a hour or so. I refused to pay it so went right up the arse of someone else and as when they went through the barriers I went with them.

Cheeky bastards.

Manchester it’s about 120 for less than 2 weeks the robbing cunts. unless I want to travel on some bus to a farmers field where as soon as I leave some cunt drives it off and dumps it on a side road in Wythenshawe or in a flat-roof pub car park and then can't find it when I return

We stay at Crowne plaza night before we fly as it’s early, ok cheaper to get taxis but saves messing around

bang on about wythenshawe at my last work place over the road there was some shitty car park no security and cars would just pull up 24/7 and a guy in a minibus would ferry drivers in & out

Flew out a week last Saturday. 2 Ryanair luggage check in staff to service 6 flights. Must have been over a thousand people queuing. Managed  to blag my way half way up the queue - thought it was going to kick off with the grey jogger and sliders brigade as a bunch of us queue jumped.

Then security was a nightmare - I’d reluctantly bought fast track (wrong on so many levels that you should be able to pay to speed up the inadequate service) but it was closed anyway. They then closed the security section and split our group so the others had to go to a different one in a different terminal and run through the airport for the final call.

Ended up one of our party arguing with the staff at the gate to delay the flight so the others could catch up and all just about made it. 3 hours from getting dropped off to reaching the plane.

Flew back a week later - 10 minutes through passport control and 10 minutes for bags so hopefully things getting better. Still a shithole though and poor bastards who work there.

Each to their own but I fail to see why boarding a plane first that will set off only after the last person gets on is a result. I suspect security is near enough sorted now.

It’s not the boarding the plane bit, not arsed about that, it’s the bit below (don’t disagree with the Lord of travel re the money making exercise, but if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em and all that)

No, it just gets you through security quicker, so your waiting time can be spent sat down with a brew/pint/breakfast etc rather than in a queue to have your carry-on scanned.

The issue I have with fast track is that it's a pure money making exercise. There should just be one level of decent service and you wait your turn, first come first served. Personally, I'd ban carry-on luggage except for essential items.

Got back from Cork and as soon as plane stopped, about 10 folk who were obviously ‘in the know’ got up from seats in front of me and stood in the galley at the back, waiting for the steps to the back door. The steps never came so I stood in the aisle making sure I was off through the front doors before them.

It was a great result.🤣🤣🤣

I’m deffo standing up on stag do flight I’m going on soon if it means I’ve more bog paper in.

Got feedback from a client  who flew from Manchester at 4pm yesterday.

She said security was a breeze, but hard work getting food or drink airside. They'd not pre-booked the lounge and couldn't get in.

Same sort who stand up to get off train at piccadilly the second it leaves Stockport.

I've got to be out the room at 11am and my flight from Vegas isn't till 9.30pm, the rooms here are a ridiculous price too, I reckon about another $200 for 7hrs.  God knows what I'm gonna do and I don't fancy being pissed on my own going past US Customs.   Wednesday is going to be a long arsed day, dreading it.

So everyone on here is getting through OK.

It's almost like the daily fail are trying to make out it's the end of all time when really it's just a busy airport at a busy time of year.

Stop reading dogshit news sources and enjoy your 6am pint! 🤣

You can spot them a mile off.

Normally been annoying irritating tossers for the 4hr 22min flight . Young Tyson wandering up and down the Isles.  Grandpa John with his baldy head with greasy ponytale.  Dad snoring his head off for the last 90mins after supping his illicit bottle of Grouse. Sharon  ( mother )dressed in faux leather mini skirt , flopping her left one out to breast feed AJ (who is about 3yrs old) . Plus 4 other kids aged between 5 and 16.

As the wheels touch down , it's like a well rehearsed manoeuvre.  ( bare in mind they live in a gated community near Little Lever).

Overhead locker emptied , then stand there with sweaty armpits shoved almost In the faces of normal folk who stand up as the Isles slowly clears.

Rest assured karma Normally occurs at baggage collection,  when 1 of the kids falls off the conveyor and Sharon's suit case ( bright pink) has burst open and size 16 pink thongs are spilling allover the place.

At some point in next week eldest kids are spotted causing havoc on a mobility scooter near Veronica's.

Incorrect use of word. Miss Jones , would have highlighted it with red pen .
