If more of you would have voiced my opinion and listend to fact after Wembley he'd have gone. Yet he's still here like a cancer. Us lot ? Fuck me 🤦♂️ I was in the Evatt’s had his chance its time to move on camp after Wembley but unfortunately we don't get to sack the manager. Once he started the season with all his new signing it was obvious he had the board's backing and it would take a catastrophic run for him to go. Do I think we should be doing better ? Yes. Do i still think he's run his race ? Yes. But I don't make the decisions. So here we are. I'm far from a happy clapper, pal. But I was a Wanderers fan a long time before Ian Evatt showed up so behave with all "if we'd have all listened to you" bollocks, eh ?

We are of ‘interest’ to the fans of the club and anyone with an appreciation of the history of football knows the unique role we have played. Not sure who else we should be worried about. I don’t follow any influencers and I don’t do social media. In footballing terms my team is becoming less relevant and that does bother me. Good for you if it doesn’t affect you. There is not much more to add.

Its a clever strategy to have the early bird tickets on sale for a few months till April, as most clubs do. Every win probably sees a boost in sales, fans only have to be swayed by a feelgood factor once between Feb and August, and they are hooked in for the next season! There will also be those that assume we'll have a new manager by August. However bad it gets this season plenty will be looking forward to a new season under a new boss (not saying that's a given by any stretch).

December 18, 20241 yr On the topic of "improving" every season. Last season we got 87 points and finished 5 points behind 2nd and 13th points above 7th. This season if we carry on at the same pace we'd be on about 75 points, maybe 20 points behind 2nd place, and 1 above 7th? Everyone would know we've regressed, but IE would presumably get the chance to finish the job in the play offs, with the inevitable (based on previous games against the better sides) outcome. If Sharon and the board are serious about promotion, OK give IE the chance to see if he can get enough points for top 3 like last season. But the minute its obvious that can't happen and we're no longer improving or even standing still, there's an argument a different manager should be given the task of taking us through the play offs (and no I don't mean giving the job to a rookie like Barnsley did against us!).

December 18, 20241 yr I’m choosing to bury my head and take the view that despite how awful performances have been this season, we still are level on points with the play offs with games in hand on some of those above. I believe that the board will back Evatt with more cash in January, boosted with the probable sale of Aaron Morley. I just hope the powers that be have been having similar discussions as the fans in regards formations and player recruitment. I read a comment earlier from someone on here that post Oxford Evatt completely ripped everything apart and went back to the drawing board when all he needed to do is tweak a few things. Whoever that was is spot on.

December 18, 20241 yr Felt really bleak to read about "the vote of confidence". How much more evidence does Sharon need that this will not work? Clearly she's the only person in the town who doesn't see how lame and pathetic it is when Evatt utters that "we seem to freeze" against Wigan. Heads in the sand, fail to read the room, fritter away the most incredible surge in support we've had for a lifetime.
December 18, 20241 yr I do find this obsession some seem to have with how many actual fans turn up compared to actual ticket sales, a bit odd. 25,000 tickets sold for a division 3 match is brilliant. I couldn't care less if 1, 2 or 10,000 are then daft enough not to turn up. It's still brilliant. I do worry though that a few more years in this division will see such enthusiasm drop away again.

December 18, 20241 yr Popular Post Boards backed him, he's going nowhere so the fans need to get behind him. I'll shout and have a go at the match, but all this witch hunt, making AI images, viciousness that's on social media is a no go, it's vile. Sharon's in the Evatt in camp, so i'm in the Evatt in camp.

Genuine question. Why does relevance matter? And relevant to who? I don’t care if some Watford or Doncaster fan knows about us. I only care about the clubs relevance to me. It’s like when people say we’re a ‘laughing stock’. It doesn’t really matter does it. And most fans of other clubs really couldn’t give a shit about how well or badly we are doing.

You’re too invested to ditch us, regardless of the manager, even though you know things aren’t going to improve with him here, you don’t want us to lose, you’ll just continue your apathy till he’s gone. All 4 of those aren’t how I want to spend my life! I kind of get option 4, but the other 3 won’t enter my head, it’s option 5 for me. 5/ You either give Sharon your full backing or accept the decision even though you don’t agree with it. You recognise, in this world of hate, disloyalty and doubt, we have a chairman who places an emphasis on family, tradition and continuity. Her decision making, while unusual and lacking universal fan support, is one brought about by trying to do things differently, by showing loyalty, honesty and support. Yes it might be displaced and might in the end be proven wrong, but I’m pleased to hear it’s through the best intentions of trying to make us better and make progress. Unless you’re going to be a miserable twat, get behind them, make sure your favourite past-time is something that brings a bit of fun and enjoyment, you just never know…. Happy Clappers unite 😂👏👏 Cracking on with things and not moaning? Is that allowed? Asking for a friend @London Wanderer Edited December 18, 20241 yr by wanderer1984
