See what happens tomorrow, not sure how he can play three at the back, unless he's playing schon on right, williams on left, with JDC, Jones and Forrester in middle,

He was being balanced until about 2 weeks ago and since then he's been very defensive of Evatt and dismissive of anyone critical of him. Think he's had a telling off from the club and told to get back on message.
December 20, 20241 yr Popular Post As is generally the case in football, the tweeted excerpt from the interview doesn't come across well in a soundbite and the overall interview isn't really a pop at the fans, but for a man who claims to take a measured approach, he doesn't half word things poorly or open to interpretation. I desperately want the bloke to succeed, because it means that we will.
December 20, 20241 yr Popular Post I just take it all with a pinch of salt. The blokes on the ropes and waffling shite. All managers do this and all have a level of arrogance and self promotion. It's why they are in the job and leading a sqaud of men. Talks cheap and all that. Only results will save the man. Stop talking shite Ian and start winning football matches. And get your weak as piss sqaud to be made of stern stuff instead of collapsing at the first sign of adversity.

He’s not held back after our defeats and not shied away from being critical of Evatt People find this hard to accept, but Evatt really wouldn’t be in a job if 100% of what he was saying or doing was wrong. Don’t get me wrong I would say at the minute, IMO, 80/90% wouldn’t be far off the mark. But lets be honest, (and I completely get this) for most now, nothing Evatt says is going to be looked at favourably, even if it’s true/or is a fair answer to a question. When people are of this mindset, they are just going to search for the negative and go for the jugular. Evatt doesn’t help himself and on this occasion the wily BBC have laid it on a plate.

That's it and he's acknowledged it, say less, get some steady results and there'll be nothing to have to talk his way into a storm about. Getting some backbone into the squad is the big challenge, he can't inject it himself so it might have to be added in the window. No data on completed passing stats just size of bollocks

Spot on talk is cheap do your talking on the pitch but somehow it won’t happen go a goal down then capitulation.

December 20, 20241 yr No fan WANTS him to fail. We all want that miracle 20 match run. However, many (now most ?) just don't see him achieving this. We all have our own theories but style of play, formation, mental and physical weaknesses, arrogant one-eyed approaches & now dismissiveness of criticism following Sharron's clear support. I dread her finding more money & him wasting it ... again.

Staggering people don't get that we haven't randomly stumbled across 25 melts - they've been made that way by the leadership over them.

Don't disagree, it hasn't appeared to be a priority in the recent recruitment processes, while at the same time some who had a bit of a mix of guile and ability to look after themselves have been moved on. The result, at least for me, is a squad that looks weaker than the one we had two seasons ago All the heat and focus is on the manager in situations like we've been in this week, and he has no doubt wanted, bought into and believed in the recruitment approach, but there are some figures in the shadows with equal culpability who keep their heads down, albeit you'd like to think there is some internal accountability we aren't going to be party to.

December 20, 20241 yr The way he was talking tripe in the promotion battle last season was the most egregious for me. Hinting about quiting at the end of the season during the run in. Why the fuck would you do that? Keep a lid on it. There's ego but with Evatt everyfuckingthing is about him

My neighbour said something the other week about Evatt commenting that he and another could be off for £4m. Maybe he dreamt it, and I've heard nothing since, but it did seem like a "for sale" message.

Let's deal in reality, Charles and Vic are here either till the end of their contracts, or they leave for a nominal fee 6 months before.
