So a Labour MP said something anti-Semitic 10 years ago. Fair enough.

I still don't hear it in my day to day life though.

Like I've said - I'm not saying it doesn't happen. I'm saying I'm not exposed to it the way I am with Islamaphobia. Even from some of my friends and family, sadly.

I'm not getting into a racism off with you.

I'm anti-Israel, but not anti-semitic.

I wouldn't even say I'm anti Israel. It's somewhere I've always wanted to visit.

I'm anti some of the policies of their current administration.

Anti Israel or anti the current Israeli government?

He’ll mean anti the government- although sadly their ethnic cleansing is supported by many in Israel.

Islamophobia is rife in this country at the moment. You see it on here regularly as well.

What I will say is that Jews in the UK are currently living in a lot more fear than Muslims are . It’s disgusting what’s been happening. Though it’s the not the fault of the pro Palestine or anyone criticising Israel’s behaviour

Let’s be absolutely clear. People on here have said the very same thing that Naz Shah said. It’s antisemitism.

I can't even remember what she said. Was it that Israel should be moved to the US? Or was there more to it than that?

If it is - I can't specifically remember anyone saying it on here - but they might have I suppose.

Are you saying you are exposed to Islamaphobia regularly, or even occasionally?

I'm somewhat confused, as I'm not personally subjected to either, and wouldn't expect to be not being Jewish or Muslim.

If you're referring to witnessing stuff onto other people, then you wouldn't see much towards Jews as they're so small in number.

Of you're seeing stuff in the media, then there is without any shred of doubt far more Antisemitism, given the ratios of Muslims and Jews.

Putting that on one side, there is only one that I perceive as a threat to me.

It’s in the post. She said that Israel should be relocated to America. It’s been said on here. She admitted her ignorance.

Yes. I'm saying I hear it on a daily basis. Including on here. Online, in the pub, at the match. It's everywhere. It's that pervasive that I think it's just seen as the norm now. And people are desensitised to quite how insidiously it's spread.

And like I have already said a few times now - yes the reason I don't hear much antisemitism might be because I don't live in an area with lots of Jewish people. Maybe I'd think differently if I lived Prestwich way or something.

I'm not sure how much clearer I can be about it. The only time I genuinely encounter antisemitism is when the Facebook algorithm sticks something deliberately inflammatory on my news feed. Or if there's some sort of national news story. I just don't see it day to day.

Fair enough. Do you believe her? Or accept her apology?

Do you not watch the news?

Well I don't really know anyone who's Jewish - so I'm not really exposed to it.

I don't remember ever hearing anything anti-Semitic day to day (other than the odd knobhead online). So it's not commonplace to me. Not like Islamaphobia is.

But maybe it's just because I don't believe in an area with a big Jewish community that I don't hear it. Not saying it doesn't happen by any stretch.

It's all ugly.

A gentle reminder that within the last eighteen months in this country there's been an anti-semitic terrorist attack resulting in the murder of two Jewish people outside a synagogue in Manchester, two men (one of which is from Bolton) being sentenced to 37 and 26 years in prison for planning a mass casualty terrorist attack against Jews, a number of arson attacks on synagogues in London, and ambulances belonging to Hatzola being set on fire

Also, I think it's daft and incorrect to label the pro-Palestinian marches anti-semitic but, equally, it's not usually very difficult to find racist signs and banners on display either, and the organisers don't do enough (in my opinion) to police their own movement

Think you might be missing the odd Jew getting stabbed and maimed.

Yes there has. And that's completely in line with everything I've been saying for the past hour or so.

At the risk of repeating myself. I don't personally witness much antismeitism day to day - in the way that I do with Islamaphobia. Unless - (as I've already said), there is a national news story about it (such as the ones you've just mentioned).

And again. For about the fifth time now. That's NOT because it's not happening.  But probably IS because I don't live in an area with lots of Jewish people in it.

Bloody hell Gonzo - not you as well?

Am I just not articulating this very well or something?

I do know what you meant. And like I pointed out in the post you were LITERALLY replying to. One of the only times I hear any antismeitism is when it's in a national news story.

Maybe I'm just not hanging around the right racists to hear it day to day. I'll try to up my game!

Think the fact the current government have just announced massive investment in to antisemitism says we've got a particular problem.

You said you haven't noticed much antisemitism but it's clearly a major problem and on the rise.

Islamaphobia is alive and well of course.

They bring it on themselves though :)

I haven’t seen any drones passing over my house but that doesn’t mean they aren’t flying between Russia and Ukraine. Because of that, I could deny it isn’t happening. Denial is a warm comforting blanket to escape from reality.

........ in my day to day life, no I haven't.

But it's on the news almost daily mate. It's clearly a major issue.

As for Islamaphobia bar the odd joke on WhatsApp groups don't think I see that daily either.

Anti-government and the actions of the "peace-keeping" forces.
I'm also against the continued land grab going on in the Palestine.

I couldn't give a shiny shit what religion they are, I just want them to stop committing further atrocities.

I'm also anti-Hamas for the same reason.
