Failing to see the joke in any way shape or form. Also she doesn't appear to have a British accent there, the fact they're cheering shows it's not anti immigration, simply Anti-Asian..

There will be some on here who think it's brilliant

Wouldn't be surprised to hear someone say it's about women's rights

Yes it's shit at times and you'd rather have police time and resources spent elsewhere.

But you can't ban protest. It's a fundamental of every democracy. You're literally making a case for living under an authoritative regime.

Quick google search tells me football policing is still costing the taxpayer tens of millions a year after club contributions. Do we ban that as well because it's a waste of police time?

Jesus 🤦🏻

anti-Asian?? That’s a wild exaggeration.

As crass as it was its clearly anti extreme Islam.

I have a few Indian friends that get really pissed off with this generalisation.

And unfortunately, most of the people there wouldn't know the difference. Hence my choice of wording.

FWIW I'm 1/8th Indian :p

Precisely my thought when you went off on one claiming we should ban protests.

If you're going on the logic that it's because it costs money - then you need to be applying that logic elsewhere as well.

Another mad policy from RW

Racist drivel, sick sick people posting hatred.

Seen s post yesterday with a guy mocking a teacher that died in work. Doesn't go against community standards..

You mean another LW  whataboutery 😆 well when you break the cost down it’s not even comparable really is it. We know you’re all for fans being banned from grounds, but that’s another mad LW opinion.

Personally I’d prefer for the police to do their thing, shops to be able to open without the fear of being smashed up etc etc and not for our capital and other major towns and cities to be overrun with gawps waving random flags shouting shit at each other all for nothing .

Unbelievable how outwardly racist we've become as a country. It's always been there bubbling under the surface - but people are proud of it nowadays.

And where do we go from here? Do we turn it around or just continue to descend until we become something really malevolent. If we're not there already of course.

It doesn’t help when as soon as someone brings a different race/nationality/religion into any type of topic or debate it usually results in the other side screaming “racist”

Its not just this country either

I think it’s unbelievable how outwardly antisemitic this country has become. Racism has always been there as you say. I didn’t realise how much antisemitism was bubbling under the surface and now becoming commonplace.

Well I don't really know anyone who's Jewish - so I'm not really exposed to it.

I don't remember ever hearing anything anti-Semitic day to day (other than the odd knobhead online). So it's not commonplace to me. Not like Islamaphobia is.

But maybe it's just because I don't believe in an area with a big Jewish community that I don't hear it. Not saying it doesn't happen by any stretch.

It's all ugly.

Wanderers pay for most of the policing fees tbf, perhaps we can ask Tommy and the Palestine protestors to do the same?

Protest is a free democratic right of every citizen

Unfortunately it sometimes costs money to police

Just ridiculous to expect people to fund their own protest. Otherwise it’s only wealthy folk protesting 😄

You don’t need to know anyone who is Jewish to see the hate that’s directed their way. I’m genuinely shocked at your reply.

Back to making stuff up again are we 😄

You’ve just tried arguing a democratic country should ban people protesting & you’re trying to turn it on me ?

Nice try 😂

A fucking lunatic suggestion

you might be happier living in Russia or China mate.

You can be genuinely shocked all you like. The only anti-Semitism I see is from nutjobs online. Not amongst the people around me - or on this board. Where I see Islamaphobia literally every day.

Like I pointed out - it's probably more to do with the fact that I live in an area with lots of Muslims in it. I'm not sure why that's particularly shocking.

Basically, Boby thinks expressing sympathy for Palestinian children being bombed by Israel means you're an antisemite.

It’s been said on here. Maybe you didn’t see it, maybe you and others chose to ignore it .

Right to protest etc.

Because you said...

and the march was full of racists in fancy dress.

So a Labour MP said something anti-Semitic 10 years ago. Fair enough.

I still don't hear it in my day to day life though.

Like I've said - I'm not saying it doesn't happen. I'm saying I'm not exposed to it the way I am with Islamaphobia. Even from some of my friends and family, sadly.

I'm not getting into a racism off with you.

It’s there for all to see. In my link to Naz Shah, she accepts ignorance as her excuse. Ignorance. It’s now more evident than ever.
