I heard he hasn't even got a brother
-
Heard he’s off to Florida with the money and his brother still has 2 legs
-
He's put himself in a tricky position, as he's threatened to completely take out their infrastructure (power stations and bridges).......but realistically, he knows he can't do that (and he won't), and I suspect Iran know he won't do it either. We now have some weird standoff, where Iran is blockading the Straits, and the US are blockading the Iranian ports. At some point something will have to give.

You need to make up a tragic tale like @gonzo did and then get some football cards in

After all the flag waving, most Councils are run by good people trying to do the best with what they've got. It's all the boring stuff e.g can we manage with less school crossing patrols in order to keep a library open? I'm grateful there are folk out there willing to sit in interminable meetings, whatever their political persuasion. Not something I'd fancy.

Mrs E and I are running London marathon on Sunday. Obviously we are on the beg for donations. these were last minute places with limited time to fundraise. if you can spare anything it is great appreciated. https://2026tcslondonmarathon.enthuse.com/pf/michelle-lord

At least then you'd have a valid complaint about "unelected bureaucrats".
-
Be good to get at least a draw Saturday and beat Luton next week to end their playoff chances
-
I guess you're right, of course, because it's Reform, the ones that aren't being run well are always highlighted in the press, as a way of attempting to discredit them I agree, local councils would probably be much better, if they weren't run on political grounds - I don't know, or indeed care, who runs my local council, I've never voted in local elections, and we don't even have local elections here this May, for some reason
-
The people of Birmingham might have a different view about these local elections.
-
Personally think we need 4 points to achieve 3rd. Mathematically it looks like we need more but think other teams will also falter. so would much rather go in to Luton needing just the point rather than 3
-
just been looking at table Luton are slowly creeping into this and have a good goal difference. We need a point on Saturday as Bradford, Stockport and Stevenage all have piss easy run ins. Hate to think we are playing Luton on final day needing not to lose to stay in play offs, but realistically could happen
-
Both these men and Stockport seem to have some key men / players in key positions out at the minute and the fan bases feel a bit restless. these players will likely be back for the play offs and non really seem long term. So whilst it might not help us in the play off games as such, it could help determine who finishes where. we have Bradford & Luton Bradford - Us & Exeter Stockport - Posh, Vale & Barnsley Stevenage - Doncaster & Wigan We have to go there with the aim of winning the game. Not only to leave 3rd in our own hands but also put a marker down against a team we may face again at some stage in a couple of weeks don’t really want to be going in to the Luton game needing a win and them needing something too. Also, it would be absolutely typical of those tin pot fuckers down the road to get something off Stevenage and deliver us a more difficult tie

the kids are fucking mental it can't be fun having so many some woman paris dealing with all that
-
They're not making a pigs ear of them as you put it. Some aren't being run well, others are. Exactly as happens with any party. Which adds to my belief that councils shouldn't be run on party political grounds. Simply needs good people with knowledge of a particular area that they can bring to work for the people of their town. Reform will gain more councillors here in Bolton, but not enough to become a majority, so will have little opportunity to change anything.
-
Trump must be learning from Starmer with another U - turn [on the cease-fire]
-
I agree, nobody gives a fuck about them usually - but the narrative/hype around these is very different - and Reform and Greens will make huge noise about taking over councils As @Traf says, too much success could be to their detriment, if they make a pigs ear of running these councils, as we all know Reform are, at present
-
Local/council elections have always been and remain utterly irrelevant compared to the HoC.
-
Getting a load of councils run by Reform & the Greens so far away from a General Election will probably help the main parties further down the line. In two years time, when they've made an absolute fuck-up of running councils (like Reform are on the way to doing already), they'll have made themselves unelectable.
-
Agree with all that - we can all see it coming, but I suspect a real good hiding to be doled out to both the main two.....who shortly may no longer be referred to as the "main two" - which I'm not sure anybody envisaged 5 years or so ago.
-
Same, I’m usually awake at midnight and do it then. If it’sa little obscure or no obvious pattern I’ll come back to it. Connections is the one I always open and forget to complete
-
It's going to be very heavy in Reform and Green councillors come the end of the month. The next 2 years are going to be tricky for the political establishment trying to get the people back on board with the status quo.
-
Father in law has known the Fury's for years always speaks highly of them. I remember him being very excited when Tyson was just breaking through.
