Wycombe Wanderers (A)
Collins was shocking in the second half of last season and seems to have got no better despite dropping down a league. Like many before him the lad’s ultimately wasted his talent.

Warren gone on season long loan to Aldershot. Keeping Inwood company. Given the level he came from National League should be a good test for him.

Transfer Gossip
From some click bait site, although the journo is well known. Presumably for the B team for now. Bolton Wanderers are expected to complete a deal to sign Shelbourne defender Lewis Temple on a permanent contract, ahead of the opening of the January transfer window. Steven Schumacher’s side are currently fourth in League One, as the division approaches the half-way mark, just three points shy of the automatic promotion places. With the January transfer window closely approaching, Bolton have successfully identified their first signing of 2026. As reported by journalist Daniel McDonnell, Bolton Wanderers are expected to complete the signing of Shelbourne’s Lewis Temple in the coming days. The 20-year-old has reportedly played his final game for the Irish Premiership side ahead of a January move to England, becoming the second player to make the move this January after Lincoln City signed Josh Honohan. No details have been revealed as yet as to the potential fee or contract length, but Temple’s move to Bolton is expected to go through.

Exeter City (H)
A fit Gale actually complements ACD. Teams can't double up on both, or if they do there should be space down the middle, which with the talent of our midfield we should find. A starting 17/18 is now starting to emerge and whilst there will be some minor tweaks for Home and Away, it doesn't include JDC, Morley or Forrester. Whilst a big squad is clearly an asset, I think they all may be shipped out next month, probably on loan.

Swindon Town (A) - FA Cup 2nd Round
I've seen Taylor in just about all of his appearances this season. Decent going forward but stands off his man way too much defensively. He's seems to have got worse not better recently. Suspect he knows he's not replacing Conway anytime soon. He needs to knuckle down and do the hard yards, but doesn't seem to have it in him at the moment.

Suspect it’s not far off in terms of rank order as opposed to the amount, relegated clubs will have legacy costs. Donkey lashers look the most obvious outlier.

Old Age !
It's a state of mind but was a story about brain research yesterday and said your brain is still in its adolescence phase up to 32. After that Early ageing brain starts at 66 and Late ageing brain at 83. https://www.cam.ac.uk/stories/five-ages-human-brain You have to factor in physical health as well.

Transfers - Other L1 teams
Didn't realise he was 30. He's had a few minutes for Swansea here and there recently, but looked overweight (as he often was when he was coming back from layoffs). He needs game time and him and his best buddy would be a good pairing, suspect they could get him on loan. Personalities and attitude aside he was a top L1 player when fit.

Parking and Traffic at the match.

They are 5th in the Prem U18 (south) league at the moment. Level on points with Chelsea and a point ahead of Arsenal. Will need a mighty effort.

The smallest of worlds
Was in Washington DC in 2019. Whilst visiting Congress noticed there was a big event in the gardens. Was going down to the subway platform later and platform was rammed with a pipe band, kilts the full works. Train due in 3 minutes but intrigued we asked one who they were. They were from San Francisco and had been playing at the event and they were heading back to the airport. Guy asked us where we were from. Said you probably won’t have heard of it but Bolton, England - it’s near Manchester. He laughs and tells us his son is studying for a Nursing degree at Bolton Uni and he and his wife were visiting again in 4 months. Weird.

Hutch had good reviews in his first half dozen games then seemed to be absent for the last few games, can only presume he was injured, but back between the sticks again and a much needed win for Altrincham on Wednesday night, in part down to him. Guess he's still a way off the first team here at the moment, but keeper's spot up for grabs next season whichever division we are in.

Ticket going back. Not up for a midweek trek just before or just after Xmas. Appreciate no ideal time, but strange to put them on sale 4 working days before it’s called off.

Sign him up- World Cup 2026
F*ckin he’ll. Not for me. Been going to Reebok since it was built, never been in the top tier, even on 3 stadium tours.- Transfer Gossip
Great news. 4 years according to his Twitter feed.- Man City U21s (H) - EFL Trophy
Warren worked his bollocks off last night. Did lots of great tracking back and defensive work. Looks reasonably fast as well. Unfortunately going forward he either cut back inside and laid a pass off or tried and generally failed to go on the outside. Had a chance to shoot in the first half that he didn't execute. I like him but he needs to bulk up a bit and has lots to learn. Time isn't on his side but good luck to the lad.- Northampton Town (A)
Don't think anyone on the pitch tonight made a case to progress into the starting line up for Saturday. To be fair some of them need more game time in their legs. - Todays Games
