Our lack of balance tonight was obvious .We seem to have a few that can play in the no.10 role but only MJ is a defensive mid.We improved greatly when he came on in contrast to Saturday when Dempsey replaced him . Competition in the defensive mid area will be needed but wouldn’t write off MJ just yet. Bodvarson our best player tonight overall. Two new CB’s needed as well. Fair result despite the offside goal. ps. How good was their goalkeepers distribution! as someone stated they targeted our left side but it was mainly through the accuracy of the goalies kicking. On one occasion in the second half they were in our box after just three passes the first being the goalies kick.

Starting line up was wooden , don’t blame Aimson as he is bog standard CB Sadlier as lwb was pushing it a bit , he was clearly uncomfortable & Johnstone seemed dithery.No balance in the team & hitting it long was a waste of time Subs changed the game so at least Evatt got it right in the end.

As has been said previously games like yesterday show our limitations particularly in defence.Johnstone has been a disappointment Plymouth targeted him yesterday long balls around the back of him & he looked uncomfortable in a back three . Aimson is a bog standard squad centre back with poor distribution skills , again not suited to three at the back.I am sure this will be addressed by Evatt in the summer.Agree Dapo is not a no.10 even though I thought he would be . Rest of season now is about assessing our playing staff & formations. Sadlier has to start along with Dempsey .We are short of top six quality , but not that far short .Top ten finish would be a good achievement & of course it would be nice to roll out the A team at Wigan & stick it to them . Onwards & upwards next season.Keeping Santos would be a big plus.

Agree with this , Dapo’s form is erratic at the moment & last night there was too much space which he usually occupies making runs & keeping the opponents busy, the knock on of this was that Williams was straying forward leaving Morley exposed to their runners. Agree the team has improved & Williams once indispensable is now not as pivotal which is a good thing actually.Also as solid as Aimson was Santos does step up & uses the ball well , whereas Aimson is more limited passing constantly to his right or lumping it forward .Can now see what Dempsey will bring to the team & his versatility will be key.

Subs made a difference, a couple slightly off the pace today . They had our rhs pretty stitched up first half .Assume John was injured brave substitution going for Sadlier .Even though he didn’t score Charles was awesome the ref was a joke again unfortunately. Johnstone mom for me

This in microcosm is the future in & out of football stadiums.

Don’t think you can blame Evatt for his team selection , it was logical given the circumstances.We had enough height in the team to repel the arial bombardment but didn’t compete in that area, all the tinpot teams exploit this weakness .We got off to a bad start & they smelt blood. Maybe we need a Taggart type CB next season to play alongside Santos or Johnston & take that main responsibility of seeing off the the arial threat.Santos is quality but if he’s isolated by the other teams shithousery no one else seems to be able to win a challenge , although I thought they got lucky with the opening goal. Three points from two aways is good , hope we can get back in gear Saturday.

Think you’ve made your point about George however you suggested initially that he wouldn’t cut league 2 , which he did . The step up to league 1 has been tough for him especially being in a struggling & injury hit team. Wouldn’t write him off just yet though , but I’m sue you’ll be keeping an eye on him.
