Wycombe Wanderers (H)
This is how bad it was yesterday, I'd have loved big Dan to have been in the front three!!!

Injuries
I'd definitely keep Morley a d support him with better players, I liked him before but he come back a different beast for me. As well as the usual stuff he does he's added tracking back and being the last defender and overlapping on the right wing on occasion. Definitely good enough to get us out of this division with better players. Plus slotting in at centre half when we chasing!

Rotherham United (H)
Matete has his faults, but I was surprised he wasn't on the bench. Randall and CMG were awful when they came on, no energy, guile, anything?? Killed the game for me. At least Matere drives at people and has energy, clearly SS has an issue with him given he bombed him out at Plymouth apparently.

Football Ventures
I think he flattered to deceive hugely. He did the things he did well, better than any, one on ones, running forwards into the channels, heading corners/free kicks out. He wasn't a bad footballer technically either. However, as a defender, in open play, against balls from out wide, he was absolutely awful, like really bad IMO. I bet if someone did a compilation of all the goals conceded with him in the team, a vast majority would be unmarked headers, from some very small players!, or strikers running across him. He ball watched, had no idea where people were, and didn't communicate. He just didn't seem very bright to me, whereas most 'top' defenders have intelligence even if they are more limited football wise.

Blackpool (A)
Except the guy wasn't looking to shoot?? Proper Ref would have blown as soon as corner was cleared and out keeper up the pitch, why being on all that happened, was over 5 minutes by then. They really are thick as piss stones.

Blackpool (A)
Same Evatt type shit, SS hasn't really changed much has he. The Birmingham game as the outlier, the rest has been just as inconsistent. Another clean sheet for Wrexham I see, and folk deride Parky.

Blackpool (A)
So was mine but Blackpool channel is fine and has BWFC commentary

Stockport County (H)
When they beat us in the cup, they treated it like a giant killing. They have now gone past us, it's fucking embarrassing, we shouldn't be mentioned in the he same breath as Stockport County or the like. FV have yet to succeed IMO, that second half was fucking grim. And that's all I saw has had to get my tyre changed on way to match after a blow out, so yes I'm in a mood but that was fucking shit!!

Burton Albion (A)
I missed their goal, just turned on as ref was talking to the linesman. I get the impression he knew something had gone on, but if neither him or lino saw it what can you do. It looked like he was explaining it to GT, and the way the pair were cordially chatting later I suspect it was handled pretty well tbf. Easier to be pragmatic when you win though!!

Birmingham City (H)
Just watched the video, hadn't realised it was Lolos who started it with that shove. He looked quite animated, good lad!!

Birmingham City (H)
I rarely comment on following and numbers etc, but it was jarring how Birmingham fans were the worst, in terms of being virtually silent, I can remember. Not selling out wasn't good, but their support felt like a load of day trippers. For a team from a big city why is their support so shit?? PS. How good was that second half!! 💪

Injuries
And that's why he has never played any higher, has all the physical attributes to go far, but the brains and temperament let's him down.

The Managerial Roundabout
I reckon he'll end up at a team close to the M1, Mansfield maybe??
-
Wrecsam (I Ffwrdd)
Sheehan got caught first half, and handball & sending off, so definitely two pens not given!

Season Tickets
The prices are generally great, as is the DD option. However, my Dad turns 80 this year and a £50+ 25% increase feels a bit off for the 75+ folk. Clearly we have a lot of aged folk who they can't subsidise any more.

Wrecsam (I Ffwrdd)
I think we still have a conundrum when we play 5 across the middle, we don't have a suitable option to play the lone striker. Likewise if we put two up front we look lightweight in midfield, which isn't too bad at home, but away?? Let's see what his solution is.

Gigs
Same, be a change from first time seeing him at the Halifax Vic Theatre.

Shrewsbury Town (A)
Matete is better further forward. Morley, Sheenan and Matete should be the 3.

The Real Plan A 2.0
No one would fancy us if we had a good run and finished in the play-offs. Imagine if we were the other teams, wouldn't want us arriving into the playoffs like a juggernaut.

Northampton Town (H)
This absolutely, but also think it goes hand in hand with us not holding such a high line defensively too. I've never understood Evatt's insistence on leaving Santos isolated to push high, as rarely paid attacking dividends as everything became too compact. As for yesterday, it was a bit scrappy but seemed we created as many proper chances than we have done for months, whilst maintaining a conventional defence, who knew!! 🤔
-
Huddersfield Town (A)
Let's see in a few weeks, but on that performance, no doubt Evatt had worn them down.

Huddersfield Town (A)
Great battling by Vic, intelligent ball by JDC, and Collins, boom 💥
-
Huddersfield Town (A)
We'd have held on to Charles until later in the window unless there has been some agreement reached, be amazed if he plays against us.
-
Brand Evatt
I'd tend to agree, but we do have a pretty unusual set of circumstances?! the status of the club, the division we're in and as said an inexperienced owner and manager. With BSA waiting in the wings Id be amazed if he couldnt come in offer some advise to both and get us moving again!
-
Brand Evatt
I respect there is some logic in your point, but conversely that system has kept us in this division. How many other promoted teams, over say the last 5 years, have played like us?? Bet there's not many. So while there has undoubtedly been some success, and there should be as we have good players, it hasn't hit the heights it should have done and allowed us to meet our goal of promotion. I bet when we went up, it wasn't envisaged spending a min of 5 years in the 3rd division. So by any metrics Evatt is now underachieving I would suggest, and his philosophy is also being ridiculed which helps no one.
