Graham Norton Is A Cunt
He was all right on Father Ted as Father Noel Furlong, but only because he got buried in rubble in the Very Dark Caves. I bet he's seen a few very dark caves in his time........

Ian Brady
The major problem here is that there are still folks out there who want to know where the remains of their kids are so they can give them a decent burial, and folks who still wait on an answer whether or not they killed more This sick, evil, twisted individual is stringing folk along for his own pleasure, so even though it's too good for him and it's costing the tax payer, frying him would be too good. It's times like these when all these human rights should be waived. Let the families have their way with him until he 'fesses up, then bury him up to his head in sand and let the ants finish him off. Hell's too good for the likes of him, can't believe he was once someones little lad.

Farm Shops
In fact you can probably see the scars in the kerb where I trashed my last decent bike 20 years ago. If you look really really closely. Really REALLY closely!

Farm Shops
That's Partingtons AKA Deardens Danny, as previously mentioned....

Farm Shops
I may stand corrected though, I think the farm is actually called 'Deardens farm' as previously mentioned. Soz, I was being all superior! (like that's a bloody rarity!)

Winter Comfort Grub
Mrs Cures winter warmer menu this week since Sunday has included: Cauliflower cheese with a slice of gammon Pea & ham soup so thich you can stand a spoon up in it (with loads of fresh crusty bread, buttered) Sausage casserole Home made cottage pie Thursday tea is home made onion soup with french bread croutons and stringy cheese melted on top, plenty of it. Proper stick to yer ribs tackle, I'll not be cowd this winter! And pretty cheap too. (because I'm a fat bastard)

Farm Shops
If you're on about Partingtons Farm on the A6 at Over Hulton (junction of Newlands Drive) it's called Partingtons. Well before the roundabout. He's a good lad is Mark, started doing sausages, bacon etc...too You used to be able to tell when he was in the Arms 'cos it stank of cowshit and there'd be a tractor outside. Daft as a brush like, but a good lad.

Stuff Em Cos That`s Me Done!
Politically correct? What the fuck does this clown know what is and what isn't politically correct? So long as it's not slanderous or illegal then who says he knows his arse from his elbow? Fuck 'em Denn, you'd probably only end up with the crumbs off the wankers at the club shop anyway. When can I pick my copy up?

Recommend Me A Film
Agreed with NB about Angel Heart. Superb fillum and very atmospheric but yes, I got it quite early on. Saying that, it's still watchable just to find out what happens to him when HE finally finds out!

The Party's Over
This is something I've been banging on to folk about for years. I can tell the quality of the stock I sell to my customers has deteriorated significantly over the past 10 years. Yes, they love the fact that some of the stuff is cheaper or hasn't increased in price over 10 years but it breaks. Or doesn't work. The amount of returns I'd say is now 10 times (at a conservative estimate) what it used to be. I sell loads of laser toners for printers every month and I'm finding that my customers are deserting the cheap chinese copies in droves in favour of US or EU made original items. They don't seem to mind that they're paying top whack for these when compared with the compatibles, but - and this is the clincher - they just work! Same goes for cheap clothes and general household stuff. You get what you pay for. Mrs Cure regularly complains that I get through white shirts like nobodys business but they're shite cheap ones! No shirt lap to speak of so I can't tuck them in, so I look a scruffy sod. Ganzys are paper thin now and either wear through or bobble summat wicked. Five or six years ago I paid ?120 odd for a pair of Loakes gentlemans brogues. I've had these resoled once a year by the local cobbler with good leather and looked after them. They fit like a glove still and refuse to wear out (apart from the soles!) Then again, I tend to look after them which I probably wouldn't do if they had only been ?20. My owd dad has a saying - "they know the price of everything and the value of nowt." Couldn't be more true IMHO.

Storage
Ask Big E, it was mostly his fault...... Garage at home - full of crap Shed at home - same Conservatory at home - much the same Shed at mum & dads - ditto Garage at mum & dads - alas, as above..... I was seriously considering opening some kind of emporium a few weeks ago, some might call it unecessary hoarding, I'll call it 'you never know when you might need it/be able to flog it on at a huge profit' Seriously, it's mostly remains of job lots I bought over the years together with furniture and machinery I keep in stock. And then there are the bits of cars and bikes, mostly stuff I swapped for something which I never owned. I really must have a clearout as I fear I'm turning into Gollum with my 'precious things' So if anyone wants any office furniture, printers, Escort/Cadillac/Berkeley/MG/Morris/Merc/BMW/Honda/Yamaha bits, books, magazines, antiques, old tellys, then give me a bell. There's even an old space invader type thing machine in there but don't ask me which one it is as it's never worked. Maybe it's a good job I didn't open a scrapyard as I'd never sell anything

Underused Words
Ganzy (though I've been trying to re-popularise the word in the Pendle, so now most folk know not to leave home without their ganzy, especially in this weather!) Saying that, you could do with your gamp too if you're going out.

Favourite 80's Record
Without doubt the 80s was the best decade for music. The 90s took it a step further but the 80s was the time when technology and public access ensured that we weren't reliant on the dicks at the bbc to force feed us on what they thought was what we wanted to hear! So many top tunes, so many genres and flavours. Here's my fave: Well, one of many many many........

Gates On Back Street Entries.
Used to do good trade in ginnels on ebay a few years back...................buyer removes of course! As far as I was led to believe, a 'wint' was like a ginnel but shorter? Then again I have no idea regarding Imperial to metric ginnel size conversions and less idea about standard ginnel/wint sizes. Is there a minimum and maximum like football pitches so long as they aren't square? What shape should the corner flags be if any were allowed at European Championship level? So many unanswered questions. I've had ale.

People Carriers
Aye, Chrysler Voyager, Kia Sedona, Espace..... all very good to a point. And that point is that I wouldn't put my kids in them JUST in case it was involved in an accident. Have you seen what happens to them in a rear ender? Not nice. You'd be ok but the kids wouldn't stand a chance. Disco would be ok but with the back 2 seats up theres no room for luggage. And it WILL break down, put your mortgage on it. Along the same lines you could get an old LWB landie station wagon, 2 in front, 3 behind and up to 3 per side in the back making a potential total of 11 seats but it WILL bankrupt you, not necessarily with servicing and repair charges BUT with trips to the chiropractor and dentist to fix your fillings back in after it's shaken them out. Oh, and it WILL break down. And be cold. And noisy. BUT will build up your upper body strength due to lack of power steering. And you won't find an even half decent one for less than a couple of grand, so I wouldn't bother. If you've so little to play with you're probably better off going with the mini bus option or failing that the van with side windows and back seat conversion, put as much space as you can between yer little 'uns and the road/rear end. Not really any answer to this question though really. When mrs cure looked at a people carrier last time she test drove X5's which then only had 5 seats, they do a 7 seater now but you could count on adding at least a 25 to the front of your ?750 even for a ragged basic one, and that'd be petrol. Grand scenics, espaces, C8 picassos, galaxy's very nice and well appointed but you really can't think about rear seat safety enough. Zafiras are too small and specced up cost almost as much as a bloody beemer! We went down the 4WD route with a Citroen C-Crosser which has a bloody big rear cross member and forward facing 3rd row rear seats. Well, at least until the eldest 2 reckoned they wouldn't be seen dead out with us any more, so we just bought a bloody big old Merc bruiser instead. Plenty of sheet metal in front and behind. Have you considered selling any of your kids to Madonna??

Drinking N Driving
I've never driven a car pissed, though I tried to get back to my digs in Brum on a pushbike once. Gave up after I ended up in a bus shelter and walked. I couldn't fucking stand up let alone pedal the fucker! The bus shelter was the last of several objects that I crashed into. It was 4am (so I was told) at the time and it wasn't my pushbike. I really can't remember anything about the rest except for in the morning when I woke up with a champagne bucket on my head. Maybe I had fashioned a posh crash hat out of it. Fuck knows! 5 or 6 years ago I lived 4 minutes walk from my local boozer and being a lazy arse I bought a folding electric scooter to get home on. The first foray to the pub went without mishap, but considering it took me 3/4 of an hour to get back home (4 minutes away) I decided that idea was quite literally a non starter. So if anyone saw me falling around on my arse outside Athy church with my trench coat on wrestling with a tangle of twisted scooter, sorry vicar. Apparently you can still be done for either act of insanity, however much of a 'good idea' they seemed at the time. I've still got the electric scooter somewhere, it's a bit mashed and doesn't charge up.................or was that just me?
