  1. I like a bit of Kasabian but I prefer Muse, though I'm not adverse to a drop of Placebo too. That's about as mainstream as I get. Though as much as I've tried, I can't get Meatloaf's new 'Los Angeloser' out of my head. The vid's pretty good too.......
  2. Hello beer, meet screen. Thanks bigtoe, I'll put my bill in for a new monitor shall I?
  3. I'd deffo go for B, especially with its sinister secrets. Though it's a bloody wasteland too though.
  4. BB, I can post on WW on my N97, indeed most sites and some you can't with an iphone. The only thing I can't do is my online banking (I said BANKING Widders!) but the iphone can cos, er, there's an app for that..........
  5. Mrs Cure and I got wed there 6 years back, and if it was able to contain 150 pissed knobheads then it was OK by me, and obviously had passed the hooligans charter......
  6. One of the few things I recall about the place was Wise Craig and his magick sweets......... Not been for years and probably the reason why it's closed but it was properly fun while it lasted........ Them goth girls used to be so needy!
  7. Bloody good point, watching the match at a mates house last night and he gets XL broadband, TV and phone for ?30 a month too! I have the same package but as little tinternet as poss and it's still nearly ?50 a month! I think I shall have to have words tomorrow. Saying that, the V+ box is a decent bit of kit, and the picture doesn't feck up when it's raining at least. I'd never go back to sky but I wouldn't mind saving ?20 a month!
  8. Well one of 'em married me. Which is something of a miracle. Not telling you which one, but she's not out of Goldie Lookin' Chain. Well, I don't think so........ "A woman with a cock? TIDY!!!"
  9. Iain, was it that new 'come to me' fragrance by Katie Price?
  10. Bar scene at the end of Ice Cold in Alex. Best appreciated when you're chugging back a cold one yourself after having the mrs' hairdryer shoved down your throat for 2 hours on 'sahara' setting for effect............
  11. I'd shudder to think what Churchill would have to say on the subject, but I reckon even he would remind the 'protesters' of whatever persuasion they may be about the fact that we may not agree with them about what they protest, but we shall fight for the right for these people to protest. Freedom of speech. We may not like it but they have a right (in this country) to voice their opinion. MOST people can make their mind up and therefore it really won't make a hap'orth of difference who protests against whom or what for whatever cause. We've all seen it before. That's why this country is the greatest in the world, and why all these folks want to migrate here. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. BUT We shall never surrender! Still can't see why they singled Bolton out though, we don't have that much of a problem with our local races and castes, I think we all rub along just fine in an English 'getting on with it' kinda way! The muslims, jews, hindus, sikhs, blacks and whites that I know personally are happy to live here and get on with their lives, (and they love it, as one of them smiled last week, anything's better than going back to 'that shithole, Pakistan' (and that's where his family (but not he) is from!) this is merely an attempt to stir up the racial tensions we thankfully don't really enjoy. If that's the right word!?
  12. I used to use mine all the time until i found out i could detect and piggy back off the neighbours wireless connex for nowt..........
  13. My brother in law was born there, his family still live there too. He even has Waddington as his middle name (or one of them). But he's a twat. Just thought I'd share that little morsel with you.

  15. I've an executive trade card which gives me an extra 2% back at the end of the year. Still, I spend about 2 grand a month there so its definitely worth it to me. You're quite correct in as much as some things are cheaper in Tesco, but the meat is top notch and the cakes are bloody great! Got my crate of assorted Badger ales today too, it'll last me 3 days! 15 bottles for ?19 inc vat, vastly cheaper than tesco! Just watch what you're buying, you will find stuff cheaper at Tesco but having 2 businesses and 4 kids you can tell we get through a lot of stuff in bulk. I frequently tut at prices as I can buy from my regular whoesaler at half the price but some stuff is exceptionally cheap, so I'll have plenty of that ta! Was never a fan of warehouse clubs where you had to pay for the privilege but I must admit the septics do these things properly and so far I reckon I save a few grand over my former wholesalers prices. Bookers is the same - the one in Leyth is a shithole but the Wogden branch is a palace! Still some stuff cheaper in Tesco! General rule of thumb is be careful out there kids!
  16. If its her out of the wimmins curling one out team, I think it's Eve Muirhouse who you're on about. 19 too!
  17. Got mine down from Mercedes direct quoted renewal price of ?887 to a cheap (!) ?518 from express insurance. Exactly the same except with this I don't get the services of a trained physiotherapist chucked in for free like I do with Mercedes. To be honest I'd never noticed until I rang them and said 'ey up, get your prices down'. It's obviously a Mercedes thing where they employ vestral virgins to polish grapes on their thighs before feeding them to you whilst you recline in a bath of warm goats cheese. At your expense, but 'included'. Think I'll stick with the protected NCD, breakdown cover and zero excess for ?369 a year less......

Sing ay ay ay! The lads are on their way, with their bayonets and their tommy guns, and their bellies full of Boddingtons........
  19. Went to last years first 'heat the streets' in Blackpool and it was amazing! (and free) We're going a bit earlier tomorrow so we can catch the parade, some of the artworks, well, all of them and the performers are out of this world, and good for a laugh too!
  20. The Killers - Mr Brightside Manics - Motorcycle emptiness Massive attack - Unfinished sympathy Kirsty McColl - A New England Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run Johnny Cash - Hurt Probably loads more but I never tire of listening to these
  21. Boothy, take a trip down st johns road now! They resurfaced it last week, billiard table smooth! About time like, it always made me laugh why they bothered putting speed bumps on a road that looked like the somme......

  23. Well, you know how it is when you're in the middle of a good entertaining dump...... Time flies eh?
  24. I remember surviving one week before end of term as a stoooooodent on half a loaf of nimble (no, i dont know why it was in our house at the time either) and by robbing loadsa sachets of tomato sauce from maccy D's. You'd be surprised how imaginative you can be when threatened with spending the last of your ale budget on food! Tomato sauce butties. Tomato sauce on toast. Tomato sauce toasties. Tomato sauce blinis. Or just toast. Ad infinitum.............. Remember kids, remove the sauce from the sachets before putting them in the old george formby though.......
  25. Aye, I store some stuff at Adams. Nancy is a top girl but the bloke is indeed a proper munich, tie, cufflinks etc.... and one of the directors is a barcode! Cheap though and convenient. The munich btw is apparently the original singer of a band known as 'Rain' who later became Oasis. Not that he does any karaeoke turns or owt I think.....
