A fine point maybe but Ched Evans, in a retrial, was found not to be a rapist. Just sayin'.

  • When he starts picking it up we've got problems

  • In fairness that may be down to what’s in his contract. A lot of companies consider it gross misconduct and can sack you for being convicted of a crime like this. Its discretional. Personally, I

Anyone singing songs about this is a moron btw.

Pleased by that statement and hopefully we can move on. Our fans need to reminded to keep their mouths shut now so no stupid chants. No doubt opposition fans will have a go but he needs to just take it on the chin.

COYWM let’s get in those playoffs

Perfectly dealt with. Would be nice if Dempsey released some sort of statement discouraging fans from singing those moronic songs that only serve to remind everyone of his crime, but I suspect he'll just keep his head down.

As it should be, he's apologised to the club. why does it need any further comments?

Having admitted his crime and been sentenced, I think the club should punish him.

Even if it is a fine, the board must make some sort of gesture, otherwise it flies in the face of FV's ethos.

Surely his actions will breach some sort of behavioural condition within his contract.

Sensible response from the club, now to get the focus back on the promotion push.

There isn' a clamour for him to lose his job.

Looking back, I think only Mick has said get rid.

On here, yes, but elsewhere on social media and group chats I'm in, there are quite a few suggesting we get rid.

His names perfect for a variation on the super John McGinlay song. I'd much rather we gave him a big rendition of that at Oxford or some yoof equivalent

It doesn't. I said it "Would be nice...". My only reasoning is that pathetic "He twats who he wants" song. I doubt he or anyone at the club appreciates it. More than happy for him to keep his head down and redeem himself on the pitch though.

What odds on him doing the Rooney boxing celebration?

Yes with you on that one, just need to move on and think he will, can't stop kids with attitudes making up crude songs mind

They sang about Alonso running over and killing a girl.  Not a chance they're not going to chant about Dempsey 'twatting who he wants".

I never said sack him, I said sell him.

Although I ain't that arsed. The club will do what they feel is right.

Fair enough, but it was still a "get rid".

Which is also fair enough. Certainly no clamour though!

Like you say, the club will (has) do what they feel is right.

Just hope he can stay at the same performance level

Get you now- glad I don't bother with screeching media.

I think its a measure of Dempseys professionalism the way he as been performing, with this issue hanging around his neck. He obviously not done himself any favours with what happened, but if he can come back, and play the way he as been, its play offs here we come.

Most intelligent fans will like every club we have our fair share of idiots who won’t but will get bored eventually.
