Scoring goals is not tweaking. It’s pretty much the most important part of the game.

Much as i love Evatt's brand of football, is hoofball eg Barnsley and Sheffield Wednesday more suited to getting you out of Div 1.

Possibly is yes, but I’ve seen enough of that shit over the years and I want to watch some good football. Maybe I’ve chilled as I’ve got older and seen the good and the shit along the way. I’d rather try and do it playing some slick stuff. To be honest I’m not really bothered about what league we’re in. It just been good to have some good times back. 15-20 years ago if we lost I’d be fuming for days over analysing stuff. I’m a lot more relaxed about it nowadays

I was happy with the team pre-match last night but Thomason looked very rusty. Hindsight and all that but maybe we'd have been better served starting Sheehan.

I quite like Randall Williams, the good bits he does suggests with a good pre-season, there's miles more to come.

I'm not too down beat. Evatt will sort us out, he'll have his list ready to go

I'm proud as fuck of this club and what it stands for right now.... and I can't wait to see what next season will bring. No single flaccid evening in South Yorkshire will change that.

A shit week - but pointless over analysing it. 

We didn’t do enough generally. No individuals to blame. We looked good till they scored. Then 4th held in against 5th. No disgrace in that. Upward curve under Evatt. We go again next year.

Well done to all who went - you did us proud.

The big game awayers are going to have to be keen to go to Stevenage, Orient, Cheltenham etc - We certainly will be. At least then, with a priority system in place, the likes of Salford, Blackpool, Fleetwood etc will be easier to come by and we won’t miss out on big games like we did last night.

I am not saying we have had a bad season but we also are not going up next season as we are. We now have a lot of nothing up front.
 

I want him to learn from mistakes but tippy tappy at the back when we need a goal isn’t it. Again. 68% possession and no shots on target. playing ourselves in to dangers at the back is madness and we do it a lot.

There is a massive gap between going from 'Evattball' to 'hoofball'

Anyone saying we do not need another dynamic and street wise midfielder is IMO wrong. What is our best midfield based on the season ? Morley and Dempsey plus AN other. So who is the 'other' ?  Early season I would have said Lee, but he has struggled , Thomason tries but lacks quality, Sheehan anonymous in big games, MJ no attacking threat. All 4 can do a job but if you are honest would any of the 4 improve any of the top six ? 
 

We are a developing and improving team and to move to the next level we need that extra bit in midfield.

Haven't seen much of BWFC this season, the kick off times being against me. Thats my caveat but a couple of observations. 

Santos cleared every cross in the first game, they bypass him and they score. Actually thought we shaded it prior to them scoring but that goal really knocked us. Someone put a stat about Barnsleys results if they score first and if they go behind. Perhaps the players knew it too. 

Oh they nobbled Bradley and the ref did fuck all.

Exactly, in one. I remember years ago if we where losing in the last 5/10 minutes we used to put Paul Jones ( centre half) up front and get it lumped into the mixer. Sheff W  did it for 120 minutes, and scored 5! Im not saying play like that for the majority of the game, but, for fucks sake, we was still passing it sideways in the last 5/10 minutes instead of going more route one.

If one piece of football last night typified us our season our lack of willingness to shoot or the reason why we haven’t scored enough it was the Bradley opportunity 2nd half. 
 

decent build up play and movement to work the opportunity, he dips inside the defender, 8yards out, corner of the 6 yard box and rather than just put his laces through it he goes down trying to win a pen 

anything could of happened there if he had taken the chance on. If one of theirs was in that position he’d of shot and probably scored. We’re so process driven it’s like it’s been drilled out of them to take a chance. There’s absolutely no shoot on sight kind of policy

I didn't think Taol or Santos looked 100% fit last night. 

We've probably been over reliant on Bradley all season. Bump him out of the game and then we seem to have very few options left. 

Seen over the course of a week, it's a disaster. Seen over the course of a couple of years and it's year on year progress. 

I think there's quite a bit of pressure on IE next season. And certainly on the recruitment team over the summer.
