Bit harsh- good awareness of a teammate perhaps in a better position? Plenty may have taken a shot, especially when short of goals. We got the goal and the win.

Far from spectacular but dealt with all (the little) Shrewsbury offered and found a way to win. Exactly the kind of performance we missed out in this type of game last season. New lads settling i

I remember that Zog clown

He'll be back the next time a point is dropped claiming that teams that get promoted win every game.

Our away form has been nearly impeccable, now gotta ensure no more derby day home slip ups in front of big crowds.

Does your surname begin with H ?

Blonde bloke with glasses went to game with your g/f ?

just had a random thing pop up in my Twitter and think it is you based on your posts on here about first game of season person being called Marc ! 😂

22pts from our last ten league games and three cup wins during that run.

Things are going well.

Sat at home before our Plan A was due to leave Shrewsbury. Up the Mr Grey elite.

Matty Taylor's new to the job so I hope they back him in January to sort out some attacking options ...

I can think of a couple who might be available.

Not the most convincing but we won so well done IE & the lads for digging in

knew it wouldn’t take long for some to sing city’s song about utd pretty sad

plenty of faces as usual and some also missing

What was behind the Jones substitution ?

Just back, not as fluent or commanding as Wycombe & Charlton but just as good.

Against a team who were happy to play for a draw at home, we were patient, stuck to our passing game & wore them down. Lovely, & though I don't like saying it, it's the kind of ground out win that build a promotion.  EIEIEIfuckingO.

Got a boot to the ankle/achilles late first half

He got kicked on his instep, but TBH Sraha who played LWB in this game is a big unit with pace and trickery (ex Arsenal Academy) and he had Jones on toast a couple of times and kept putting crosses in so it was a blessing when Jones went off and Forrester came on to sort it out - which he duly did.

Have to give credit to Shrewsbury's defence in that first half - first to every ball, compact, well-organised, won everything in the air and forced us to go long which was breakfast for them. Nullified everything we tried.

In the few minutes before the goal we started to string some passes together and although we were a bit lucky with Marosi's fumble (was he still injured?) the goal changed the game.

Great defence on that tight pitch Shrewsbury, but nothing going forward and ended up with their CBs playing up top hoping to get on to balls hoofed into the box - and that opened the door for our second goal. Matty Taylor's new to the job so I hope they back him in January to sort out some attacking options because they're in trouble now with Wigan winning.

We've struggled in scrappy games like this in the past so it feels like progress. Chuffed.

Did you mean to post this on the Shrewsbury forum ?

Was sat watching on the bank on the Mekong River @ 3AM with a few Singha beers.

Unfortunately stream was awful ☹️

Anyway, another great away win and we’re giving ourself a bit of wiggle room.

Well done lads.

My instinct is that we look less secure from set pieces this season, not making a big thing of it but since you mentioned it....Derby's pen was from a corner, they "scored" but ref disallowed it to give the pen; Carlisle's 1st goal was admittedly 2nd phase but they return the ball virtually unchallenged (11 back) and Toal handballs it; 2nd goal from a corner we cleared to their unmarked man on the corner of the box (admittedly a jammy deflection); Stevenage 2nd goal was from defending a set piece, Jerome barged into their man to concede a pen; Wycombe's 2nd definitely a set piece goal, as you say left unmarked on the edge to pick his spot, good save but they put rebound in.  Not sure how it compares with last season but its a stretch to say we've improved.

Based on last night's evidence we stood up really well to set-pieces and balls into the box.

Well, saturday!

Oh yes the clowns are only one poor result/performance away from a much needed meltdown and need for criticism/depression in their lives.

Even puts SJ after his name on Twatter to signify his journalist credentials to his 56 followers.  A fantasist.  The volunteer at BoltonFM gave it away.
