I do get the logic in that but I won't consider us out of the top 2 race until next time we drop points.  Until that happens, they have to win every game so its not over even if they win at Wycombe.

Whilst I think Pompey are the better team, I think Derby will be more up for it. Regardless of what they say about getting the job done, somewhere at the back of the Pompey players' mind has to be the

Suspect they'll try to shithouse their way to a draw.

Hopefully pompey don't settle for that.

Pompey win and they are almost up so they will go all out

If Pompey win by two we are only 3 points and 2 goals off Derby with a game in hand; favourites going into the last five games

Our games in hand didn’t turn into points earlier in the season. I’d rather have the points on the board.

I would but we play Shrewsbury later; can’t do nothing about it now

Im not sure how we would be favorites with games v pompey and posh to come

Have derby got city, liverpool and arsenal?

Still with pompey to play though.

Potentially massive.

Unfortunately Cambridge and Wycombe Away; but we are best team in the division and will win them all with cricket scores😉

Cambridge had a decent result today and will fancy their chances of staying up.

Still need some points to be secure though, and Cheltenham have a game in hand.

They could take something off Derby, but it is perhaps unlikely.

Wycombe had a decent result today as well, keeping a Blackpool team, who are good at home, to a blank scoresheet.

Lastly, they play Carlisle, who will want to sign off relegation on a high.

Wishful thinking! :)

That Shrewsbury game could be massive for points and goal difference

Tough shit. This is the predicament we have chosen. Technically still on our own hands if they fluff tomorrow.

Excuses need putting to bed.

Exactly.

Just focus on winning each game now.

What you waffling on about

Im merely asking how we would be favourites with games v posh and pompey to come while derby have a relatively easy run

Nowt to do with excuses, i just thought i was missing something

You are. Derby are crap and it’s their to be had. They lose tomorrow and we don’t accept yet another gift then I give up.

We need to take a bit of responsibility and land some big results.

Pussyfooting around Derbys fixtures is small time. Time for the whites to step up.

The concern might be that Derby probably feel they have to win, Pompey would be happy with a point

I think Pompey will just want mathematical certainty. They're at home and their fans will be demanding.

Pompey will be getting nervy as the line approaches.

defeats to us and derby and it’s all back on.

long way to go

Pompey have been relentless at home (10 wins and 3 draws in the last 13) and Derby aren’t great away (3 wins against Bristol, Exeter and Charlton and 3 losses in the last 6).

Fingers crossed Pompey carry on and then it’s technically back in our hands.

It’s the hope that kills you…

It’ll be a draw

Agree, they have a very positive coach too. But if it’s tight and they end up getting a point they would be 9 points clear of us with 5 to play .

Pompey 1 or 2-0. Smash em

Yeah, my fear is a point is fine for both teams but could be terminal for us.

Just look after our own business and hope we can take it to the last game

Derby have got the better run of games, but they collapsed last season and fluffed good positions this season so there’s still time yet.

Probably more nervous about tomorrow night than I have been about any of our games since Wigan away.
