When Rioch came to Bolton in 1992 we won three of our first give games then drew 1 and lost 5 of the next six. A very similar thing happened when Big Sam arrived in 1999. It is very early days and SS

I had someone else try this time after I failed last year. They failed too.  I was particularly irked last time as a relative got sorted through 'someone at the club', whereas our STs, goldlines, lifelines and 15+ aways meant feck all.

I'm all for a priority system but I'd prefer something in between Barnsley's 1 ticket per supporter and folk off here ordering 10 at a time.

They have a 1 per ST and with requirements. Not you can only buy one. They have the network system

How about

one applicant > one CR N° > one ticket

repeat as often as you like

Enough for it to be a problem though.

I’ve done 18 league aways this season (plus the cup games and friendlies), wife has done 16. I got one ticket this morning. There just has to be a better way.

To your earlier point, the thresholds would be flexible enough depending on the allocation. We never sell out enough for it to be a closed shop, but we have enough of an issue for 5-10 games that something needs to be in place so that people going to the ones that don’t sell out get further up the queue on the ones that do.

i know its old ground, but when i talk about loyalty schemes not working, its partly cos the system cant be trusted

this morning, 7 of us trying and i got 5 of 13 i think

im now not going but the system thinks i am

until it stops crashing. i make that the priority, but maybe it doesnt crash if you stagger demand

who knows

I think that is bang on

there's been plenty games that were easy to get a ticket for, I know because I got @DirtySanchez a ticket for most of them - i.e. the ones down south

there aren't that many folk ike you and @radcliffe white who do all those aways up and down the country whether it's weekend or midweek, it would never be a closed shop

so it's quite easy for the smaller hardcore to build up points that would mean they have more chance of getting tickets for the big/local ones, and still be scope for the more casual day trippers to get one

hardcore (like you) should not be going head to head with one or two games a season folk (like me) for play off semi final tickets

we don't actually know who goes to games though

case in point you

system thinks you do

and when the ubers, away STH, can flog em on so easily, to mugs, then system is doomed to fail

Is he over buying?

i bet big e wishes hed tried to overbuy

then the system falling over on him wouldnt have left him ticketless

So how do you move up the ladder?

If the 20 plus are buying all the tickets you'll never do it

How many 20 plus do you think there'll be? I'd guess 200 odd max on a rolling system.

A 20 plus can't buy them for anyone other than other 20 plusers

Also if it takes into account attendance at home games then you lose the unused tickets used just for aways

I'd say for the most part they do, there's no perfect system, but something is better than nothing

I don't think the away STs are finding it that easy to sell, other than the games that are a mad scramble

good luck trying to sell on for games like Reading, Portsmouth, Charlton, Wycombe, Oxford etc

but if you bought a ticket for all them, you should be given a better chance of getting one for Blackpool or Fleetwood than someone who only did Port Vale

easily sell 3 or 4 of them

anyway, point is, i think we need to close down the loopholes

should stop folk selling on tickets

and sort out the platform

with regards to the system timing out and crashing i have just done a little test.

Put my login details in, added 10 fanzone tickets and clicked proceed. weirdly didn't have to assign individual people to it and i had 30 minutes. thats been allowed to run down then i went to payment. again crazily rather than the 3 minutes you get when buying away tickets i was given 10 minutes. been made a brew, fucked about a bit then clicked proceed. amazingingly it hasn't timed out and removed the tickets from the basket.

@Casino you maybe right re the website needing a constant first

I would say the loopholes exist at every club in the land, and rarely exploited to any great effect

I just can't understand why Barnsley (and others) who use the same platform as us have a point system in place, and we choose not to have one

the platform would be more effective if sales were staggered, rather than letting everyone steam in at the same time

Also when buying the home tickets it goes from 30 minutes, when you click payment it gives you 5 minutes but the countdown clock starts at 2 minutes

unsure if mentioned but I've just noticed the fanzone are showing it

I’ve missed out on loads of away days this season only got Carlisle away because casino had spares… usually do about 10 a season but that’s rapidly on the decline can’t get tickets despite being online 9.55 on every occasion. How there isn’t a priority system in place is baffling.

I don't "deserve" to get away tickets, as I choose not to put the hard miles in on a Tuesday in Cambridge etc, but I would definitely have been at Barnsley if I could have (I didn't try - working).  If they introduce a priority system from day 1 next season, and we get an allocation of 1,800 at Wrexham or Huddersfield, who goes to the front of the queue?  I could get a ticket, then I'm 1 up on someone like @desperado.  Then its Blackpool away 2 weeks later and I can get that too because I'm now classed as "loyal".  Just wondering how we think initial priority would be established.

At £5 to get in. I’d rather go to Nam Ploy and drink decent beer from glass.

while that would suit, i don't think thats fair

id say 5 year sth or something

also, itd encourage renewals when we are shit again

Even the home ticketing system is shit, tried to buy our tickets but it wouldn't let me get the grandkids ones so their mum has had to get them, then they charged me full price instead of OAP even though I renewed my season ticket at OAP price

The staggering sorts it, really. Even if you get booted out, you know there’s enough to go round that you can go back in and do it again on a different card etc (the NatWest problem reared its head again) as long as you do it without your window.

It’ll depend on whether you’ve got the grandkids on a ‘managed’ level in your account which tbf the club did mention in the release. Just done ours and it was an absolute breeze. OAP one is odd though as I’ve got a kids one that was reserved at the right price (and ironically needs upgrading)

Pretty sure early season aways at Cheltenham went on open sale. Reading did not sell out nor did Port Vale so a loyalty scheme would have worked at start of this year. People get hung about 'loyalty' as in superfan stakes it becomes emotive, it is simply an away ticket priority scheme.

I do about 75% of aways so would not be top tier, which is fine, but our lot losing out to folk with friends on the inside stinks. Folk who have done 2 or 3 aways getting in first is just unfair.

Home tickets were fine, I could get yoofs  ( I can not go) , I could also get Chief Wiggums which was a surprise.

I do have the right to assign tickets for then as i have done for cup games previously, we've got them and that is all that matters
