Another one that can't fathom the system here.....

Was after 3, thought I'd got them allocated but went to check out in basket and I've only ended up with 1.

Oh well.

Why have choose your own seat option?

Every time I clicked on an available seat it came up "Not available"

At least Bristol and Peterborough you had the option of letting the system pick for you

Shit System

Six of one, half a dozen really with that. Peterborough was pick your seat in the original allocation and it worked quite well trying to pick off the odd seats.

No ticket system is going to be perfect when you’ve who knows however many thousand people chasing the same <1,500 tickets. The reality is that until we create priority steps - and, with it, less people in the bunfight - then it will never change.

Managed to get 5 of the 10 we needed but that was with 4 different people sat constantly pressing refresh picking up odds and sods.

Fair play to those who took the plunge on the away season tickets. Feet up and no stress looks pretty attractive right now.

Peterborough have an away points system in place and they average about 500. Don’t understand why the club have gone against it for so long…. Must just be short term thinking as it won’t often be required in the league above

It will be required unless we get spanked every week. We’ve got a growing away following.

FV have always had this very wrong. People that are happy with the system can exploit loopholes. Which is fine but don’t pretend the system is right

Yeh but don’t think we’ll be averaging 2.5-3k every week in the champ which is the average allocation. There’d be 2 or 3 games a season and if we’re lucky play off / attractive cup ties where a points system would come in to its own but it’s night and day compared to this seasons allocations

Saw a table somewhere that had away allocations in the championship

Bar Sheff Wed it was mainly around the 2k mark

Untick the 'sit together' option and accept the Ryanair-style random allocation of seats nowhere near each other and you'd be fine.

it wasn't do any sort of allocation today, you had to select your own - unticked it from the off and each time was presented with a map of blue seats

no matter which one I clicked on first it said it couldn't be reserved

got a ticket for the stand up to cancer match though if anyone wants it

And that is the whole point of a priority system that our CEO and others can’t seem to get their head around. The people that have regularly turned up at the many games where we didn’t sell out, should have first dibs on tickets for the high-demand and/or low-allocation matches.

Didn't even bother trying as my blood pressure won't be able to take it

They might as well have done a raffle with every st holder, you've probably more chance of getting one

Would actually be better off doing a ballot like other clubs do.

Queueing up outside the ticket office from 5am with vouchers cut from programs stuck on a special card.

Talking to a friend last night. She’s sorted for Barnsley away because she gets them from Lancaster Whites.

SHE LIVES ON LONG LANE FOR FUCK’S SAKE!

To be fair, her brother has a caravan in Kendal. That’s qualification enough, isn’t it?

I'm almost certain each member has an away season ticket.

I am almost certain they do, also certain they obtain extra. Also the away season tickets are supposed to be individual.

the system has so many loopholes there is no point in worrying about it.

i just hope Toxteth whites qualifies as a club although i am 1km closer to the ground than Lancaster

Father in law did Goldline for years and years up to Covid and was always one step ahead.

Lad I used to work with has told me someone started at my old place who used to work there, he can now get tickets for any away ahead of anyone else.

That coupled with high demand and small allocations leaves a lot of disappointed folk, come who have done 15+ aways a season.

Just bring ya iPad pal 🤣

They don't even make it into my inbox, not even junk mail! Had to phone up and have them send them to alternative addresses the last few times, sack the board

Unfortunately, we could have the best, slickest, most efficient system there is, with a priority system thrown in, and there's still going to be thousand's of disappointed fans who don't manage to get tickets. Some you win, some you lose; yes I know the fans who go to most (all) away games are the most deserving but a fan that, for example, only attends 25% of away games is still deserving and going to be disappointed if he/she doesn't get a ticket.

But if they know beforehand where they sit in the queue then at least they’ll have an idea of whether or not they have a chance. Managing expectations, as it were.

I’ve missed out on loads of away days this season only got Carlisle away because casino had spares… usually do about 10 a season but that’s rapidly on the decline can’t get tickets despite being online 9.55 on every occasion. How there isn’t a priority system in place is baffling.

Imagine how many you’d miss if you were sunning yourself as well 😁
