What do we think?

Reluctantly I think we need a change. It was so flat yesterday and it has happened too often.

Parker is a bit of a weird bloke so would rather not 

Potter might be interested if we were in the championship

And then I read this and I'm reminded why I've got one foot in the get him out camp. How many times do we have to sit there and watch us run out of ideas because the opposition hasn't done what we hoped they would.

17 out of first 31 at home and only Oxford and Pompey of the recognised "tough" away games.

Not downplaying some of the excellent performances in those 31 games, just that if the aim is top 2 you have to be able to pick up wins in at least some of the big games, obviously.

Honestly not having a pop at IE because I know exactly what he's contributed to this club, and I thank him for what he's done. 

But if I heard tomorrow he's off, I'd be out of my post-Wembley depression in a flash.  In fact I'd say its almost worth not going up, to have the possibility of getting a better manager in (if we're honest the championship could have been a car crash with this squad and with IE's tactics).  If they say he's signed a new deal, I'd think Sharon and co were rewarding failure - that's not going to happen surely?  I respect all opinions, but if the target is promotion rather than stability/nice football, after the last two years I just don't get why anyone would be in two minds unless its a fear that we we'll fail to find a decent alternative.

It’s no wonder we’re all bipolar on here when you consider some of the mixed performances this season. Games within a game. In the win at Wycombe a LONG time ago we managed to give up a two goal lead with 8 minutes left and then win by two. At Carlisle we looked nervy as fuck at 2-1 in added time then ended up winning 4-1. The second leg of the play offs. Mental. 

After reviewing the votes. There's a obvious divide between folk who know football and them that don't. 

You cannot dispute the position the club is in now compared to Evatts very first day walking into the door 4 years ago.

As disappointing as it is and as raw as it still feels, I personally think he should continue. But we have to see change from him and the side this next season. There can't be anymore fuck ups in the big occasions, bottling big derby games etc etc. And we have to get promoted or else he's out.

There is a serious case to be made whether he's taken us as far as he can. But I believe he deserves at least another shot to prove that or not.

Either way, he's not going unless he wants to leave himself.

Yes, I’m much the same way Marc but seeing Evatt after the game yesterday he really looked a beaten man and I’m thinking he may feel he needs pastures new himself. I don’t think Sharon would sack him it would have to be Ian’s choice. It’s just so sad because there’s a really good manager in there but some personal traits that hold him back. I think he’ll walk but he’ll go with my good wishes if he does. If he stays like you I’ll be ok with that too. Sometimes in life you learn more from adversity than success and I’d like to think that was such a moment for Ian yesterday and he could stay and use that experience here instead of elsewhere?

Aye, we had a pitch invasion after losing a home game and nearly blowing a 5-2 lead 

We batter Exeter first half then gift them a lead and are happy to come away with a draw

We've been so close to the top two, and so far away in the play off final that I really did know what we can expect next season but we know this squad can play

So I think he can have another go and if we don't get promoted he's gone

I'm undecided. But if you'd put 100 managers with EFL experience in charge of us as we were the day Evatt took over, how many would have us in League One after four years? I'd guess a comfortable majority. And I think a fair few would have us higher with the money Evatt's had.

I've enjoyed his time at the club on the whole. I definitely don't think he's irreplaceable or that he's achieved results others couldn't.

He has achieved the bare minimum each season given the resources at his disposal, and I fully agree many other managers could have done similar.

The reason we haven't gone up is because Pompey, Derby and Oxford have managers who actually add value to their squad and get more out of the collective over 46 games, and we don't.

Potters linked with Man U… he ain’t looking at championship or league one. Cooper won’t be looking at league one either… but I’d definitely take him…. Of all the candidates potentially available and I’ve said it before Skubala looks the best out there who we could get.
