Anyone with any advice how to get as ticket, I’ll be very, very grateful.👍 Had £80 flights in the basket about a year ago and decided not to commit, fuck! Only consolation is I know the prices for match tickets are well beyond my means, and the queues for the fanzone when we were there earlier in the tournament were already ridiculous even for standard group games. Probably looking at a couple of hours queuing at best. So if no match ticket and no fanzone, it doesn't leave much else worth doing. That's how I'm justifying not completely destroying my savings and staying home anyway 😀

I went to the U 21’s EU Championship in Olomouc in 2015. Harry Kane was playing and Gareth Southgate manager. We got beat 3-1 by Italy. Hopefully things will be better this time. Watched the 66 stuff on a b/w tele. Couldn’t miss out on this. It could be my last chance.👍
tomski
Imagine comparing Southgate and Evatt. He’s just achieved a historical first where play ground pep can’t move us out of a division we historically do not belong in, even though gifted an exit. Palmer to Watkins and.................fucking mayhem! Drowned in beer and don't give a fuck! I'll use me best Fred as a car polishing rag Moved back into Spain in the wee hours. Toying with back into Gib for the final. Talk about more English than England! Folk all around me speaking Spanish and going berserk when England scored! It will be the same on Sunday (assuming that we score!). Back to the football. We can be a joy to watch when the handbrake is taken off. If we had been like this all the way through, I concede that we probably wouldn't be in the final. One enormous hurdle to overcome now. The thought of yon mon being spoken about in the same breath as the imperious Sir Alf gives me cold sweats. Fuck it, I'll learn to live with it! C'mon England! 58 years is too long but a very significant number. My theory of slow starters succeeding and fast starters failing in these tournaments could not face a more rigorous test. Most on here were right all along though. Palmer, Watkins would have been the first two names on the team sheet for me. Southgate x Kane, Martinez x Ronaldo, Deschamps x Mbappe. All symptoms of the same illness.

Late winners, penalty shootout wins, penalties that weren't. I suppose it is better to be lucky than good. Stay grounded. In the cold light of day we have to think about the climb that faces us. We can certainly do it but there is no doubt who the favourites are. Hoping the woke twat can go out a winner for Englands sake. Anyone else remember the deflation the last time he failed us in a Euros final and semi final?

Popular Post paulhanley
Last night was as good as it's been in my lifetime watching England. Magic stuff. Too young for 1966. The only other final we've progressed to was also on home territory. Beating Denmark in that semi-final was great. Beating Holland last night on foreign soil has to be better. Nowt wrong with the Danes but historically the Dutch are a stronger nation and this was not on home territory. Given the Ronald Koeman factor I can't help but think Graham Taylor is somewhere on that football training ground in the sky saying: "Do I like that". Onwards to Spain. We're real underdogs because Spain have been absolutely excellent throughout. You just never know though. It's far from impossible that things go our way on the night. Enjoy this everyone - stuff like this doesn't come around too often.
gonzo
My kids are 13 and soon to be 10. All they've ever known is England competing in finals and semi finals. My summer tournament as a 9 year old was spent in tears because Gascoigne had completely ruined Colin Hendry. And that was probably one of the high points over the last 28 years! 🤦🏻♂️
Site Supporter desperado Posted July 11 Site Supporter Share Posted July 11 Magical night. There’s a feel it’s just written in the stars this year, last minute goals, penalty shoot out wins, winning playing poorly, slow burners coming good at the right time, criticised manager coming good, game changing subs doing the business. I said yesterday great managers are lucky managers too at times. It’s what you do with those opportunities when they arise. The Palmer/Watkins moment is great reward for Southgate. I also love how so many players feel part of this big squad and how they have contributed. They talked on the analysis about how he’s prepped them to be ready when called upon and how valuable everybody’s contribution is. A tricky and brilliant bit of man-management. Neville said, when you take into account his playing and management days, there has never been a more experienced Englishman in tournament football. And he’s using that experience, intelligently, wisely and effectively to get the results. If ever there was a case for giving time to judge a manager, then there is no better example than Southgate for England. That’s not to say the criticism this tournament is unwarranted, I’ve given it myself. But That tournament record is fantastic. Yes I’d probably swap with Italy, just to get a tournament win, but whether it’s a R/U or W going into 2024, I think it’s time to say what a fantastic manager he has been. He wins, probably the best. Come on Sir Gareth, lead these troops to victory! 👏🏴

Members DazBob
First half, last night was our best 45 mins of the tournament. Southgate then brought on Shaw and I thought it'd mean we'd be even better due to having a left foot on that side... but we seemed to revert back to how we've played for most of the tournament. Couldn't work out if that was down to us or if we have to give credit to the Dutch for making that happen. Felt like we were hanging on a bit towards the end and that eventually they'd score from a cross or corner. Enter Palmer and Watkins! My dad and I nearly jumped through the ceiling when Watkins slammed that goal in. What a finish. Would really love to see either Watkins or Toney start in the final as Kane is a passenger at the moment. Not gonna happen though. Regardless, we're in another final. Let's hope we play at our best and Spain have a bit of an off-day. Come on England!
