He knows me better than that, I hope with the 'old boy's name' comment he meant Joe Galvin, a great bloke who I ran with in the 70's and 80's, Keeley will never forget him, nobody who ever ran for Lei

  • Anyone feeling slightly emotionally unstable today probably should leave this till later, amazing stuff.

  • Perhaps mentioned, but there's a Cameroonian boxer (Cindy Ngamba) playing for the Refugee Olympic Team who resides in Bolton

Semis will be tougher.

On repechage, heat winners and 2 fastest losers qualify in the 800.

Obviously they will be tougher, Keeley hardly broke sweat last night, this is her year

Well done to the rowers. Good start to the day.

Could be a good quiz question: Apart from boxing (💣) in which women’s only Olympic sport can men win a medal?

Bloody hope so. She's a lovely lass....

Just happened in the women's 8....

Just got back from walking the hounds.

Missed the men winning the 8s, but just in time to see the medal ceremony.

It's fantastic to see all the successful rowers belting out the anthem.

Wonder what Tez Truth has to say on the issue :D

he said it's a Starmer-led conspiracy to let more asylum seekers in.

Kayak Cross is brilliant

Mixed relay was a decent result for us.

Bol for the Netherlands was remarkable.

Michael Phelps genetics gave him fucking massive feet does that mean he shouldn't have competed in the Olympics.

Every so often a sports person emerges that's been given a biological advantage by the generic lottery.

This is her second Olympics it's not like Tyson Fury stuck some lippy on and decided to box the ladies.

She is facing a woman though in a sport where you're going to get punched in the face. Trying to get some sort of anti-trans backlash against your stronger opponent because she beat you is bullshit

Im not sure what your definition of a woman is (or a man for that matter) but Ill stick with the science , XY chromosomes equals male . "SHE" has XY chromosomes.

Maybe you just like to see women getting battered unfairly.

Absolutely.

Comparing someone with big feet with a woman with xy chromosomes beggars belief. Nothing better to pose a reasonable response with.

As I posted earlier, boxing and other "fighting" sports have weight categories for a reason. Perhaps to mitigate "genetic" advantages (prefer common sense myself).

The judge should be allowed a private feel to determine if male or female IMO

What if he feels both sets?

The woman has lost 9 times to other women, were they complaining? The Italian simply didn't have the fight in her.

She was born with a fanny (she might well have some dodgy chromosomes) but she's entitled to consider herself female.

I also doubt the legitimacy of the Russian controlled boxing federation that banned her.

More bullshit today in gold medal shooting match - our girl hit the target and they just said she didn't despite the fucking video evidence - game over, enjoy your Silver. Cunts.

No VAR equivalent was in use.

It doesn't matter how many times she's lost to a woman when it comes to eligibility

There's a fair possibility she may be a male with a DSD, which is a bigger issue than dodgy chromosomes

Re. doubting the legitimacy of the IBA: I can understand why there might be concerns but I'm not entirely sure what their motivation would be in this instance, and I think it's worthy of note that neither athlete opted to take their case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Khelif initially did appeal before withdrawing, and Yu-ting chose not to appeal at all)

I think this is ultimately a failure of responsibility on the part of the IOC

Cindy Ngambo from Bolton now guaranteed a medal for the refugees.

Bit rum that we take in refugees but can't have the medal allocated to us. It's like they don't even want to try making immigration popular 😉

If the IBA testing was dodgy CAS would sort it in a jiffy - strangely the appeals were dropped. Facts in this case pretty clear.

Big letdown in the 800m so far, up to Keely to save the day
