I’d like to make it clear I’m not trying to be argumentative with anybody on here. I’m free to express my opinions and I’ve been extremely patient with some of these players, particularly last season. The play off final was the last straw.

I don’t believe we should be accepting players that clearly aren’t up to standardΒ

I came on here and wanted Evatt gone last season....I even had a go at him today, but i balance that with A the board backing him up and B i think his signings this close season have taken us to a new level.

You will get some here who agree with you and some who wont..........Stop being like a snowflake and just stick with your views

Out of interest why do you think you know more about how a good player is than professional players who played against him ?Β

You keep slagging JDC, his fellow pros had him the divisional team of the season.Β
Β

You think he is rubbish, fellow pros thought he was best in the league

So again why do you think you know better ?Β

We also finished 3rd in the league and he played nearly every game. That isn't mediocre.

do you like hoof ball giving straight back to the opposition or a chance of cocking it up by standing on the ball for a second too long?

we have the ability to play on the break on the floor and are very good at it , the problem is we don't do it enough

Hard to play on the break facing 11 men.

First win there in 34 years, I'll take it however it comes.Β

Went to that on National Express.

Held up in traffic and I didn’t get to the ground until 330.

It was locked up and I had to bang on the away entrance.

Eventually someone appeared and they let me in for free.

I missed our goal.Β

The start of a great run.

Take this in the right spirit, but I've always thought the "voted for by their peers" is given more credit than it deserves (this isn't a comment on JDC, well done to him).Β  But the answer to your question is - because we watch these players about 46 times a season, and the pro's play against them a couple of times, in fact less because so many players that get to vote probably don't play every game (eg Iredale won't start manyΒ  league games probably).Β  Some players will take their vote seriously and plenty will just come up with a name because they've been told they have to vote.Β

Not the best performance but a win is what matters and we’ve already seen the new additions look like they are going to improve from last year.
Β

Leyton Orient are no mugs and the type of team to have a big say without really being up there. Many of the league favourites won’t get 3 points there. We did.

3 points

Away win

2 strikers scoring

Keeper looking like he’s on top form

New players already showing what they’ll add

Probably 3-4 players that will come into that starting 11 to strengthen it

Was is a perfect performance, no. Were we a bit lucky, probably. But it was never realistically going to be the complete performance and so to come away with so many positives (the main one being 3 points) is massive!

If we can keep the points coming in, whatever way we can, through these first few games whilst the new players bed in and some important players get back to full fitness then just watch us when it all clicks.

Other than that, a great day! πŸ˜ƒ Was it on the same site that? Apartments in all corners of the ground now looks daft.

Just seen Iles say its only the 16th time in 50 years we've won on opening day as well, didn't realise it was that low a number.

I just explained that.Β

You’re fighting a losing battle here pal, give it up.

I don’t think he’s very good, I’m not asking you to think the sameΒ

So if your point is we know more about JDC because we see him more by the same logic we do not see enough of other players to say where he stands against his fellow players.Β
Β

Other clubs will also watch lots of our games on video when they are playing us and speak to their fellow pros.Β

And I am asking you pal why you think his fellow pros voted in the team of the season.

The away end was a terrace that was behind the goal and went around to where you were sat today.Β
