If IE was to leave, who realistically would come in? And would they do a better job? Ian has at least tried to sort things out he's not above changing, maybe he goes back to the old formation after this?

The system that failed to get us promoted?

  • Think that's Ian's job

  • Seriously, he’s reached his level. He’s been outthought by lots of other coaches from teams with a fraction of our budget. Can’t really add to that, it’s a bit basic, Sharon?

As has been mentioned above. Older ones like me remember the Phil Neal days. I loved Phil Neal. He got us out of a world of shit. Took us from the depths of despair to something more respectable. But

They  wont come on here tonight! And 50 per cent wanted him to  stay after Oxford! Really dont understand why Sharron give him all that money to spunk away?

Think she was trying to be loyal. But there's loyalty and being plain stupid which I don't think she is

For all the talk of systems, it isn’t the system giving the ball away with a 5 yard pass, shooting in to row Z or forever NOT BEATING THE FIRST FUCKING MAN AT A CORNER

All true but the players are better than that and maybe after Wembley belief in both the system and the manager is lost. Imagine being sold the same line every week despite last seasons let down and the way we’ve started. When you don’t believe you don’t perform, even basic tasks.

Sometimes people just get over promoted. IE is a good example

They are better than that. And it’s high time they showed it. Couldn’t give a shit if they’ve lost belief in the system, manager or Allah, they can at least turn up and play for themselves, never mind 20,000 poor sods sat there today.

That's appalling.

It's a result and performance that changes people's minds.

I'm starting to have a 1991/2/Phil Neal feeling.

I still think there is an apathy all around the club since Wembley and other than some excitement regarding various transfers i don't think it has or will shift. And certainly won't be helped with spineless displays like those.

That was utter wank.

East to say Matt but difficult when you e lost confidence and gave 20k people roaring at you.

I’ve never been one for knee jerk reactions regarding our managers. I can’t remember ever posting that a BWFC boss should be potted - although I got quite close with that cunt Megson.
However, this mon has got to go. I can’t see him turning it round.

Same. I’m no happy clapper but try to find positives when I can. But that was absolutely fucking dire. The players should take a lot of the blame for their inability to perform simple tasks but the buck stops with the manager. I like IE but sadly I think that this time is up. We’ve made absolutely no progress at all

It wasn’t even that good. Third division relegation fodder on today’s showing.

Big Sam. One last hurrah! 😎👍

Tbh I would love it if he came back but he is a greedy get and would want too much money

Not going to happen let’s concentrate on realistic alternatives.

I could just go a bit of intelligent long ball stuff but we haven’t anyone who can deliver a half decent ball. And the chickens at the top wouldn’t get to them anyway.

I've seen this before at Bolton and other football clubs. Indeed you can see it generally in places of employment where the workforce loses faith in the management and "the project". We're outsiders looking in and its guesswork but that's how it appears to me.

There's only one solution if we have indeed reached this state of affairs. Ian Greaves once used a phrase "its sacking time", he was gone weeks later. Some boards would have done the deed already or would do so after that pitiful showing today.

This is the first time I've spoken like this about Evatt, but I'm not sure what other conclusion to draw now. All the tell-tale hallmarks are there.

Stockport and Birmingham play 4231, Wrexham playing 532, those are your league one top 3 teams and they seem to be playing tried and tested formations and most importantly, formations that suit the players.

Like last week, IE disappeared into the dugout and was nowhere to be seen for the most part

Probably checking his receipts

We just can't defend corners or free kicks and we have no idea when we get a corner or free kick what to do. some of the passing was woeful today what goes on in training?

We are stuck in a system that clearly isn't working no matter what players you change

Players have been sent out because they no longer fit into the system and are not good enough for the club anymore perhaps that now can be said for the manager

Mate I sit with said the same today, left it up to Crainey

Question Is this our longest  period of our history of being out of the championship if we don’t go up this season ?
