I hope IE works it out, clean slate from this Saturday at 3:00, if he's as good as he says he is, as he has been comparing himself to some of Boltons best manager's, then we are on to a winner, if not then he must make a decision that benefits BWFC.

So, the shambles we saw on the pitch was nothing to do with him? 🤷‍♂️

Evatt wears his heart on his sleeve and often runs off at the mouth in his press conferences. However, some folk are so disillusioned with him, they're attributing every comment or remark to some snide dig or hidden agenda.  He's just chatting the same shit he always has done (same as any other manager tbh).

He'd have been better off operating in the days before social media and the need for constant sound bites and content, when if someone wanted to give him both barrels they had to write a letter to the paper, post it and hope it appeared in a column on Wednesday or Thursday

This is the crux of it. I've been scratching my head all week trying to think of an example of a manager that has reversed a position like this. The only example i can think of is Ian Evatt, funnily enough, during that first season. Fans not being in the ground helped! 2-0 down at Mansfield felt like he was done for. We won 3-2.

Rioch was 2-0 down at Chester in his first season (superfan points) and came back to draw 2-2 before going on to promotion.

A comeback from this would eclipse those. I want it to work out for him.

If i see a midfield 2 and Schon playing left back / wing back tomorrow, I'll be fearing the worst though.

Schon wont play 20 games for Bolton.........Steve Mcanesbie the second

Mark Robins was bottom of league, or very close to bottom, with Coventry 2 seasons running I think.  He's had loads of iffy spells, but season after season turns it round and over achieves.  I think the difference with IE is that its not just a bad spell, its a consistent failure to beat a certain type of team (well documented).  Its not about going 5 games without a win, its the inability to beat that type of opposition.

As much as we'd love to beat Reading & Crawley and we might well do, that isn't the point is it.  There will be fans of other clubs hoping we get a win tomorrow or next week just to keep IE here for another few weeks.

Liked the look of him first couple of games but jury is out now. Please don't be another Pisano.

I actually thought he looked good v Orient and Wrexham too, so think there's a player there. He's no wingback though. I'd like to see if he's better in left back or left wing, but wingback is too demanding for him

Probably harsh dropping him not just into a position he doesn't seem suited to but also into a team that's struggling overall.

Definitely think there's something about him though. I can see him doing one or both of lashing one into top corner from miles out and at a weird angle, or getting a straight red for ending someone's career with a wild lunge.

I’m so far gone with him, I no longer care what he says.

Standard ex footballer / manager response about giving them more time

Fair enough

He's getting it

Historically Bolton is a safe enough job

He'd have been potted by most clubs after last week

Steve Thompsons daughter works at my brothers girlfriends hair salon.

I'll try and find out what his thoughts are and maybe the daughters too.

More the merrier.

Too many fkrs having their say now... it's down to the man to deliver the football tomorrow... I've never been his biggest fan but his Alamo beckons and I'll be behind the team... we should get a win

Craig North: Its believed Rico will lead the team out at his boyhood supporting  club Arsenal, and the change made after that.

🤣

Jesus Christ, if there is a modicum of truth in this from Uncle Craig, then this would be absolute bonkers.
