  • The title was changed to Northampton Town (A)

In x3

Last went there in 1989. Last game of the season, no stand along one side just a cricket pitch and we were 2 down in no time. Came back to win 3-2 with a JT winner on 90 minutes off a Cruyff turn.

Agree. That was my take on Northampton

Always remember the game referenced above, there was a new northampton to london train service launched, same day

Supposed to do wonders

Suspect all it did was made it possible to shop and work in london!

Some well known Bolton lads decided to have a kick about in one of the goals at halftime 😂

Same. Out of all of our League One tours to a random, shitty towns, we’ve always found a bit to make us be happy to return. Northampton is the only one where we’ve failed on that front. Absolute shitheap, and a right faff travel-wise, too.

Taco bell over the road for tea was the highlight last season.

I’m only going for the Popeye’s

I think we were on a long unbeaten run iirc?

That's right. Went on to win at Wembley then iirc Thomas and Morgan both left in the summer and Reeves and Philliskirk came in. The run ended at Rochdale in a 1st leg league cup tie but I can't remember who ended the league run.

Was it last seaon we went for an easy 3 points , had a man sent off and CMG scored a late equaliser for a robbed point ?

We played better with 10 men and should have won in the end.

The only time we’ve played 4 at the back in the last couple of years and we looked good!

CMG and Collins out wide looked very good that day.

Think it was Coleman's first league start and we conceded inside 3 minutes - not his fault.

They also brought Louie Moulden on in goal at HT, he played in front of us away fans, took the banter well.

Definitely the shittest away town of last season.
