  • this free hit thing is doing my head in now who honestly even thinks it's a free hit? this is exactly the game we need right now this is IE's big test he's got 13 from 15 in games

    Lostock Whites

That game has angered me a lot more than I was hoping it would. I was expecting a loss because our record against better sides is truly awful, but the way we went about it was just pure cowardice

  • in my mind if we want to really see that we've moved on from last season and are serious contenders there's absolutely no reason to go into this game (as fans) and think we ought to lose I d

Not sure the away car park is still there, few bits of ground have been rebuilt. Not great by ground as they close a couple of roads and they are getting big gates these days.

Last couple of teams we have been there parked on a little estate just round the corner.

Retail park near the ground should hopefully be ok. Distinct lack of secure car parks but I guess the industrial types should be ok?

Before the Chungy header game, we had a good drink and a warm welcome in The Rainbow (I think).

Realised I've just lined you all up....as far as I'm aware not a Blue Oyster job.

Quick look on Google maps, I'm guessing you mean the one with B&M and Iceland etc.

Reckon we'll try that.

Nice one folks 👍

It had a chicken shop. I only remember as I ate my tea there

I've only been twice. A 3-1 win in the late 80s, Reeves and Darby were amongst the scorers and the West Midlands Police were the chippy w*nkers you expected them to be in them days. Other time, we parked right next to the ground but it was v Coventry when they played there.

I don't fancy driving to this and might do a rare travel club excursion.

Been once in 2016. We played long ball for 90 minutes to the target man that is Zach Clough, Clayton Donaldson scored the winner and the car broke down on the M6 on the way back.

Definitely not in a rush to do it again.

Anyone heading out from the city centre? Doesn’t look like there’s an easy metro route etc., so it’s either taxi, walk or jump on a bus

Walked it a few times, 20 to 30 mins depending on pace.

I usually walk up from New St, passing the coach station it takes around 20/25 minutes.

There's a few, mostly Irish, pubs on the way & one or two on the side roads off Digbeth, all alright if you;re sensible, but there's no more between going under the railway bridge & the ground.

Was at that win too.

Moody outside the away end afterwards; the dark exacerbating the situation as whordes of zulu types came charging across the wasteland.

Just seen that Walsall and Stoke are at home the same night too. Some planning that.

Don't think Stoke will have much of an impact.

Different county.

Last time I went, I think we played Coventry there. Junior and I walked down to Bordesley train station about 800yds from ground and got the train back to New St.

Remember that - they had planks of wood and throwing bricks, bottles etc from that waste ground opposite.

when we scored the third a load in the seats to our right upped and left - waiting for us outside.
