Ani Posted October 14 Posted October 14 Not sure the away car park is still there, few bits of ground have been rebuilt. Not great by ground as they close a couple of roads and they are getting big gates these days. Last couple of teams we have been there parked on a little estate just round the corner. Quote
Moderators Casino Posted October 14 Moderators Posted October 14 Looks from the ground guide linked on the site that away parking is no more The parking bit makes pretty depressing reading tbh https://footballgroundguide.com/leagues/england/championship/st-andrews-birmingham-city.html Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted October 15 Author Posted October 15 Retail park near the ground should hopefully be ok. Distinct lack of secure car parks but I guess the industrial types should be ok? Quote
jayjayoghani Posted October 15 Posted October 15 Before the Chungy header game, we had a good drink and a warm welcome in The Rainbow (I think). Quote
jayjayoghani Posted October 15 Posted October 15 Realised I've just lined you all up....as far as I'm aware not a Blue Oyster job. Quote

Duck Egg Posted October 15 Posted October 15 I've only been twice. A 3-1 win in the late 80s, Reeves and Darby were amongst the scorers and the West Midlands Police were the chippy w*nkers you expected them to be in them days. Other time, we parked right next to the ground but it was v Coventry when they played there. I don't fancy driving to this and might do a rare travel club excursion. Quote
matty2094 Posted October 15 Posted October 15 Been once in 2016. We played long ball for 90 minutes to the target man that is Zach Clough, Clayton Donaldson scored the winner and the car broke down on the M6 on the way back. Definitely not in a rush to do it again. Quote
Eddie Posted October 16 Posted October 16 Anyone heading out from the city centre? Doesn’t look like there’s an easy metro route etc., so it’s either taxi, walk or jump on a bus Quote

There's a few, mostly Irish, pubs on the way & one or two on the side roads off Digbeth, all alright if you;re sensible, but there's no more between going under the railway bridge & the ground. Quote

Moody outside the away end afterwards; the dark exacerbating the situation as whordes of zulu types came charging across the wasteland. Quote
