Glad it’s not just me. I remember CMG for his goal at Cambridge, and very little else

He scored a cracker in a pizza cup game too.

That's it though. That's all.

Amazing how many thought he'd come back like Ronaldinho though.

Can't wait for how disappointed so many are going to be when Morley doesn't turn out to be Pirlo.

Do you mean his header at Northampton?

No, but now you mention it I do remember that.

It was his volley away at the Cambridge rearranged fixture, from Sheehan’s quality little lofted ball over the top.

I’m not calling him shit by the way, I just don’t really have an opinion of him one way or another and wonder how others do.

Cogley gets pelters for being a bit shit,CMG is the saviour despite also being a bit shit

Collins, Lolos,  CMG, and Randell peas in a pod.....

I'm also in the no opinion camp.

If you're referring to best position, I'm not sure they are

Think we had this conversation a while back too.

Admittedly very slim pickings.

But I was impressed with his performance at Northampton away when we went down to 10 and he went as one of the wide-men.

Then there were a couple of games (can’t remember the opposition) where he looked really good partnering JDB up front.

He’s usually a pretty reliable source.

So maybe he is one of those we’ve tabled a bid for…

He lost all credibility punting the Victor to Turkey stuff. Wild.

Victor to Turkey… I’ve not heard about that one 🤣

No new year resolutions then?

From the what I've seen of CMG i like. Fuck knows what his best position is though seem to remember him being a left winger for his other side. But at least he's foward thinking and not scared to take a risk. Decent option to have from the bench if nowt else. Hopefully he isn't made of glass

Yep come solely via him. Anyway. Sadly im not arsed who comes in or goes except Collins and Mcatee now.

Not so much same position, though they can all play the 10 role, mavericks who on the day are matchwinners and can produce things others simply cannot do.

Not the best at tracking back and can drift out of games and go missing.

Posh are talking 1.5m well thats a no-goer

Certainly not when it comes to that.

From memory, he looked bright and inventive in most games I saw him.  Just had something the others don't have, happy to pick up the ball in tight areas and be very direct.  Far from perfect (join the club), but offers things nobody else does and an upgrade on a couple of our strikers in terms of goal/assist potential.

And has been known to head a football in the general direction of goal.

The randell story strikes me as

Oi wycombe, mcanthony wants 1.5 and hes no morley

Its old news

Sheehan is off

Fwid d prefer matt smith last seen at salford even if he has been retired 4 months

And that twat of a bolton born mf at blackpool

The same Sheehan who just signed a new contract is off?

I can see him going in the summer when we inevitably fail to get promoted but not in January. Unless someone comes in with mega bucks

Stuff Randell and get Luca in from Barnsley instead, far more of what we need from what I’ve seen of them both.

Connell would make a lot more sense as the type of player we need, but is he a realistic purchase for us? Will Barnsley sell to a promotion rivals? Would Connell want to move to us given we look to be in a worse position than Barnsley?

Loanees from premier league clubs and out of favour championship players is where we need to be looking.

According to a Barnsley lad that knows what's what they'll price us and anybody else at our level out of it, him and Adam Phillips both on long contracts, club under no pressure to let them go cheap.

Iles article this morning about Evatt and not changing his philosophy suggests pretty strongly that we should expect no more than a bit of deckchair rearranging out of this window, just folk who he thinks can help us do the same things but better.

The issue is the last few windows, coupled with regression of some of his mainstays, have left us with a squad less capable of doing the essentials of his approach than it was this time two seasons ago.

I don't think I've ever been so uninterested in a transfer window as this one, I honestly don't think whoever Evatt signs this window will make us progess this season.

Unless they're a world-class player like Bradley, the vast majority of Evatt's signings have taken months to get used to this bollocks way of playing anyway. Pretty much to a man his January signings have been abject and then gotten better later on (even if like Victor and Randall, 'better' still doesn't equal 'good enough').

I’ve no idea if casino is saying he’s going but I felt that deal was being signed with a view to sell. With his age. If he gets a champ offer then he should go. Won’t get another chance. If it doesn’t materialise then he has the protection of the contract

I seriously question the decision making of the board; there are several occasions, just before Wembley and since that many of us thought he would be sacked. We are worse than we were 12 months ago. There are very few examples that IE transfers have actually kicked on, and a handful that could be described as total flops.

Given that, why would the owners dig deep and spend yet more money on transfers this month to move the needle?
