Really hope it works out for him.

  • We don't need a sentimental appointment here to put a fire out. Like said above, we are fully loaded and ready to go. It's actually a dream job for someone. Sqaud full of talent ✅️ Dece

Get Gareth Ainsworth from Salop. He’s only just gone there but I’m sure a deal could be done. Exactly the type of no nonsense character we need. Neil Harris would be another good shout for me, done wonders at Millwall.

Don’t want anybody who claims to have a philosophy.

Yon mon who got potted at Oxford is an interesting shout.

Don’t like to see anyone lose their job but it’s the best for him and us. He got us to where we are now but we could and should have been in a better position.

Ultimately his unwillingness to change cost us all. He needs a rest now away from football.

With where we are in the league, the money that’s been spent and the expectation of promotion this appointment needs to have an element of being tried and tested. Young up and coming coaches like Leighton Baines are the ‘wrong time’ type of candidates.

sometimes it needs a 1 step back to go 2 steps forward approach in terms of footballing style and pragmatism.

nothings ever guaranteed but you need to back the most stable runner

 Completely agree.

And the thing is with Evatt, one of his biggest downfalls was looking too far in the future, Championship this Championship that. Yet we didn't do the basics well enough in League 1.

Get a solid manager in that can coach this team to do the basics, then you sprinkle the talent on top that we definitely have in the squad, you've got a serious promotion side there.

Look at Huddersfield right now, Wrexham, Derby last year, these are not good 'footballing sides' but they do the basics and have players to win matches for them.

I remember that game at Swindon away when Phil Brown was caretaker after Todd went. We could do with a bit of that (the performance not Browny).

Looking at that list, no one standing out. Could we go foreign perhaps.

Absolutely. It felt at times the fundamentals were overlooked because the quality we had would win the day more often than not.

however, the foundations of the team need to be set and solid before that quality shines through. All successful teams work just as hard or do the basics just as well as all the other sides

What’s colin wanker doing ???

Wouldn't be surprised if Wagner's odds shorten, the Markham connection is there, wouldn't surprise me.

If we're looking for experience, Gary Rowett would be ideal.

SSSS - Steven Schumacher and Super Sam combo for me

If he wasn’t at Oxford I’d agree

Richardson in talks with Wycombe .

No tippy tappy football

Get big Sam in.

Stop fucking around and do whatever it takes to get out of this league.

Think BSA would be much better suited to a DoF type role these days. Times and football move on

Please not Ryan Lowe , talking to a PNE mate he’s

1. Sideways & backwards merchant

2. Never changes tactics during play

3. Blames the players for not implementing plan A

you wait and see, only on a caretaker type basis though. I guess if he performs well, then a longer contract can be offered
