They've clearly worked well together before but they're both surely now consider themselves managers rather than manager and assistant

Although mainly it's because I just can't take to Lowe

I was wondering about going for both of them when I read the headline but I'd imagine Schumacher sees himself as his own man now and not a no2 at a L1 club

They just closed us down and crippled Maghoma.

Hardly rocket science.

Then he got sacked shortly afterwards.

It’s a no from me.

They did a good pressing from the front job on us but, to be honest, once they'd twatted Maghoma it didn't take much tactical genius to get on top of us. It was as much about us not turning up as him being a footballing sage

The main issue for me, wasn't the obvious tactic the opposition would employ, but the equally obvious fact that we wouldn't alter our approach.

With all those players in front of ours, then earlier balls in behind or to feet of forwards making an angled run etc, should have yielded opportunities for our midfielders to have overloads in supporting the forwards.

Equal and opposite reactions etc.

It's as if the players were shit scared of trying something else, despite Evatt often saying he wanted players to find solutions on the pitch.

Whether that's because he'd fuck them over if they didn't get it right, or they were so coached in one way, that they didn't really have any sense of a plan who knows.

Simply we didn't have an alternative.

That made us even easier for the opposition: stifle plan A, and they'll keep trying plan A.

We prob didnt think a first minute assault on maghoma would be allowed

They didn't just close us down. They pressed certain players and let others have the ball. If you watch that video on YouTube it explains it. Not saying it was mind-blowing stuff. But it was clear plan to let certain players have the ball and others got aggressively pressed.

Tier 3 is the only league in the pyramid Sam has not been promoted.

Parky would be our best former manager at this level.

We don’t want a former manager unless we can get a former team. Which we can’t. We want an Evatt-like from the early days. Before he started believing in Pep.

I’d still go Schumacher myself.

If it's not Schumacher, I'll be quite underwhelmed. I don't know anything about any of them though. Not even sure why I'd prefer Schumacher. He just looks and feels right to me.

After what he did at Plymouth he feels like the perfect fit, wouldn’t be disappointed if O’Neil got it though

Just back from bondholder evening.

Will post more tomorrow. Certainly said an appointment would be as quick as possible, and that promotion was still the aim this season. Didn’t sense they had someone yet, but could be wrong.

On Evatt, it seems the ‘fuck off’ incident was what finished him. This wasn’t mentioned publicly of course, but chatting to someone tonight who would know. The Charlton result was irrelevant really

Julian Darby excited beyond belief for tomorrow

Lastly, Phil Mason. The club is so lucky to have him.

Look forward to your post might give us some clarity.
