Don’t doubt there’ll be more than on the odds shortlist that we have spoken too. Some left field ones too based on who’s potentially applied.

Only takes someone that person knows to lay some money on them and suddenly the bookies smell something and bang them on the shortlist.

a bit like the monster raving lunatic party in an election.

He wouldn’t be my first choice as I agree that we and football have moved on.

Doubt BSA could cut it at Premier League level anymore but for 6 months in League One I’m sure he would get this team fighting for promotion again just as capably as Schumacher or anyone else. (Probably just for twice the price!)

For the remainder of the season, we  need a leader to come in, instil confidence back into the players and get them back to basics.

The fans will be 100% behind whoever gets the job, as lost hope returns and we have a second chance at making this season a success. COYW

I think JD did a pretty impressive version of being a leader  and instilling confidence into the players and got them back to basics so who needs Sam?

with a game tomorrow that JD is in charge of, and travelling down to Reading Friday, unless someone is announced and ready to go Weds morning then looks likely JD will be prepping for and maybe even taking charge Saturday as well

at least no midweek game next week, so if surely we have somone in and ready to go Sun/Mon they have a full week to go at it before their first game

Thing is, the transfer window closes next Monday and I'd expect the new manager to make at least 1 signing of his own

Schumacher was confirmed,  they had a fax and everything,  but he came on here to look at some fans opinions and could decipher Masi51's ramblings so cancelled his contract

He’ll still be reading yesterday’s. I know I am.

It's a really important appointment to make and I'd rather we go with what we've got and take the time to make sure we've got the right man than risk rushing an appointment just to give the new manager an opportunity to make a signing or two

Have to say, not thinking about the next cab off the rank until the previous one has gone is admirable in your personal life but abysmal in business - hope the next manager isn't treated like a member of the family but as a key employee.

My mate who is a Preston fan said lowe plays like evatt,, lots of short balls, possession based. So him, fowler or des are a no from me... We cant give des too much credit imo anyone would of beat us at wembley that day.

Schumacher is the clear favourite:

I'm sure he'd be decent, but having fled from Genie's lot to pastures dirtier in the potteries, is he inclined to do it again if successful with us?

Hopefully we get to find out

If he gets us up, so be it.

A Championship BWFC is an easier sell as well as being able to recruit a better standard of manager if your in a higher division.
