Really hope it works out for him.

  • We don't need a sentimental appointment here to put a fire out. Like said above, we are fully loaded and ready to go. It's actually a dream job for someone. Sqaud full of talent ✅️ Dece

Be nice to see JD stay on till May

You can get 4/6 on Schumacher as of this second. Doesn't scream that an announcement is imminent.

Buckingham has made a dramatic move up the leader board today, which has arguably lengthened your man's odds.

I don't suppose we know for sure, but it would be a bit surprising if he didn't get it now.

1/2 now that I’ve put £15 on him at 4/6

Was told from a good source earlier that he was at the game in the chairman’s suite

As was Sean Dyche, but more likely because his lad was playing for Northampton.

It's all a clever double bluff !

Sipping his usual pint of gravel.

Having dropped 5 of 6 very gettable points in Evatt's final two games we now have 6 from 6 in JD's presumably short stay in the job. The mood has changed considerably.

The club can afford to breathe while it seeks a replacement but it needs concluding today, or at worst by Thursday. It's in danger of looking inept otherwise. One thing's now for certain, our leader did not want to drop the axe.

Why is it in danger of looking inept ?

In a years time nobody will give a fuck whether it took seven days or ten.

Some people see inept if it takes a week to appoint a new manager, others will say a decision was rushed and the wrong choice made. Football is a fickle and thankless buisness.

You are right she didn't want to drop the axe, she has said it and has her principles which she has earned (and paid for) the right to stand by. But she did it anyway, too late? Maybe, we will see at the end of the season. But at the end of the day it is her buisness and this is thecway she is choosing to run it, and so far there is little to criticise in my view

You’ve gone soft down south.

In hiding since sober Dan smashed him all over town.

or he started running and got a bird.

Never liked that Redfern

Better to take the time to do the interviews then decide there isn’t a mad rush the transfer targets will all ready be lined up before it shuts

This is one of the most important decisions the club is ever likely to face.

Hire slow

Fire fast.

....as the recruitment gurus would say.

Most of the “fancied” candidates (based on betting odds) would be dropping down from Championship or even Premier League salaries. What would be inept would be to panic and either to offer a salary that is unaffordable, or to select the wrong option because it was affordable.

This is a significant recruitment for the club. It should not be rushed and we need to get it right.

The transfer deadline is an irritant but it shouldn’t dictate the process and lead to bad decision making.

We can all look at the squad and identify areas for improvement. However, many will have different views on the specific areas to be addressed and the individual solutions.

The reality is: we already have a very strong squad that is as good as any in the league and better than most.

Sharon would not be rushed into a decision on Evatt. I similarly expect her not to be rushed in such an important recruitment decision.

Absolutely spot on 👍
