  • Do none of you negative-heads ever feel daft after calling all our players absolute shite, and writing us off before half a game has been played? I'd feel embarrassed if I were you, but you do it over

Just watched the goals again cracking shot from Toal and McAtee took his well hopefully he now continues to score more for us.
Anybody know at what stage is Santos at injury wise it’s gone quiet.

Otherwise, there is a car park at the Meole Brace Bowling Club, which also offers parking at £3 per car and has a bar on site too. It can be found at Meole Rise (Off Upper Road, SY3 9JF).

Post Code for SAT NAV: SY2 6ST

Went here, was a decent set up for what we wanted, 2 or 3 pints with a food truck outside. Sky TV on in both bars. Could have done with a couple more staff on. 15-20 minute walk to ground

How good is it to see that. Knowing that we’ve got a manager that can adjust in-game means that we don’t have to write games off when you can see things aren’t working.

We were saying on way back how the subs helped us in the game. Tutu at half time gave us a boost, Sheehan helped us keep possession,Schon energy.

Compared to IEs regular like for like changes it was pleasing to see. I am not wanting a pile on to slag off IE but it had clearly gone stale, let’s hope we can keep the momentum going.

Matete, Morley and Sheehan in midfield next please

And any idea if he gets near a start now

He's gone. Mentally, if not physically. If we got into a crisis, who knows, otherwise treat him as no longer available.

Shocking racism in the commentary.  why is the keepers colour relevant ?  Bugger link goes to full highlights with no commentary

Did not realise we scored during their minutes applause. Very disrespectful.

A couple of improvements I noticed was that I don't think McAtee was coming back to defend, he was playing as a striker.  Not coming too deep, not trying to be involved in everything and crucially not handing out cheap free kicks in our own half.  I'm guessing he's been told by SS to play as a striker, not a jack of all trades.

And I don't remember us getting caught in possession unnecessarily, far less fannying around at the back unlike at Reading when we repeatedly gave them the opportunity to press us.  Not sure how much of that is a change in tactics or because Tomo is often the one that gets dispossessed.  Either way it was a big improvement, getting the ball moving quicker.

Does anyone know who the captain was yesterday?  Jones?  It will be interesting to see if Tomo gets the armband back next week.

Toal was captain yesterday. We noticed this too.

He should keep it. Proper talker, always going to play when fit and means GT can be dropped / rested which will likely benefit him (and us).

Yeah I agree. I think we need a proper captain. Last couple seemed to be burdened by it on the pitch. Hopefully finally someone comes into their element and rises to the occasion for a change. These players exist and it would be ace if it was Toal

What a completely refreshing approach from a manager to make tactical and player changes to have a positive impact on the game.

McAtee was great at holding up the ball in the 2nd half and two good finishes rounded off a good day at the office for him.

Randall however was awful from start to finish. I don’t think he found a white shirt until he made a 1 yard pass backwards in the 4th min of injury time in the 1st half. He loves to run at the side of opposition players without ever actually putting a foot in. A poor player that feels like Evatt’s final parting shot.

A good win and if we can start cutting out the defensive mistakes, I think we are in for an exciting end to the season. COYWM

Looks like we've found a position for McAtee.

For someone who only has a left foot, isn’t a winger, isn’t a defender, can’t play on the right, can’t go past his man  and we should be accepting bids for to ship out in the summer… 😁

Great pull back with his right foot to set up Mcatee’s 3rd, well played Szabi Schon 👏

I’ve liked him from the moment I saw him at Leyton Orient. Not only do I think he’s a great player, I love his attitude, passion and commitment, you get the feeling he loves it here

Stop fishing. It was an easy pull back in loads of space.

Really did think that at the time. Wanderers tv didn’t share a pitch side view of it and certainly none of those fancy lines between players we get these days. 3rd tier footy sigh.

I can be seen on the highlights- running toward the Lino with my arm up appealing.

alcohol- it’s not big and it’s not clever

Did anyone see the linterview Schon did with Wanderers TV ? He was asked which of our players was hardest to understand.

Straight away he said Toal. Can't understand a word.
