  • I don't want Randall anywhere near this fixture. Or next Tuesday for that matter. These aren't the games for fannies.

  • All said in the heat of the moment and in the middle of 15 pints. It wasn't gutless. It was as SS says. We just have a habit of losing these kind of football matches. We were by far the bett

  • The more of Dempsey, Forrester, Forino, Johnston, McAtee, GT, Morley, Schon in the team for these 2 games, the better chance we’ve got. We’ve tried to beat them with nice football for too long no

The 'gutless' comments are embarrassing

3 wouldnt have flattered us and 2 flattered them

If i can be critical either our crosses or our getting on the end of them is 2/10

Thats the problem and pre dates SS

Yes, we concede too easily but we dont score half as many as we should

Thing is Casino, it's a common theme isn't it ?

We rarely press home our dominance and then the other team have what, a 5 minute spell when they are in the game and manage to score.

Seemingly every bloody game.

Realise I'm not telling you anything you probably already know, but christ it's frustrating.

We don't press home our dominance because we've somehow ended up with probably our worst attack in the past few seasons.

I thought only having Bod and Jerome to partner Collins last season was bad. Now we've got McAtee and the Cardiff lump. Simply not good enough to make a charge for promotion or pull you out of the shit in games like yesterday.

I'd have Bod and Jerome back in a heartbeat.

It's the same story every week on here. If we'd scored every half chance and got all the 50/50 decisions we'd have won etc.

This is the most overrated Bolton team in my lifetime. The goal was to finish top two, we're 8th and 20 points adrift after nearly 40 games, but still this group of players have excuses made for them week in week out.

Collins is far from the worst, but he gets talked up as though he's a level above. Yesterday's goal took him to the heady heights of 15th in the scoring charts, having played nearly every minute of every game. If that's your star player you're fucked.

And the mad thing is at the start of the season we thought we had the best

Collins Vic Dion and McAtee shouldve been more than enough :(

Take it back to when Evatt took over and add Tranmere in to those 3.

W2 (both Blackpool at home), D1, L13

Shambles of a record

We weren't even this bad in derbies in the 80s. It has to be worst spell in our history in these games. It's grim for us fans. I obviously hope Schumacher gets the issue by the scruff of the neck but the damage is done now. There's enough happened to keep your Wigan/Stockport/Blackpool fans happily fed and watered for years to come.

He's on for 20 in the season, and hasn't played as much as you suggest.

Decent enough return.

Not a world beater, but not a duffer neither.

I think Collins is ace

We're crying out for a proper no9.

But like I said before, attacking wise isn't our main problem, we are one of the highest scoring teams.

Defensively we have been a shambles.

My biggest takeaway from yesterday is that I’m genuinely upset for @gonzo and his kids as I’m sure it’ll be relentless for months now

Went boozing with my Blackpool supporting mate after the game and he was far too gracious in victory that I think I’d have preferred if he took the piss!

If the players didn’t get the message after the game then they never will

I don’t think you need any more angles. GJ’s back foot is a good yard into the dark green stripe whilst the forward is still in the light green stripe. He’s onside, it’s just shit defending (again)

New defensive coach, maybe an option, add it to our list of new recruitments 😊

Come away from the ground wondering why Morley's goal late on had been disallowed. Had no idea it had actually gone wide.

The midfield issues haven’t helped the defence issues, 60 goals scored with 8 games to go should be enough to get you into the top six.

He's scored 10 league goals at a significantly higher goals per minute ratio than anyone above him on this list.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/league-one/top-scorers

Four assists too so he's hardly laying them for others either.

I'm not saying he's the problem specifically, he just happens to be symptomatic of a team that's results have never matched the way they are talked about. Overall he's a slightly above average L1 player in a bang average L1 team.

It's just depressing.

Feel for them. These games keep passing by and yet again we all get let down.

We've had our fun in derby games and big occasions. This young generation have had nothing but letdowns.

Derby games and occasions like yesterday are what define your love for your club and why we all do what we do.

With this set of players, those memories aren't being made.

No pelters needed. I’m not a million miles off your train of thought. Santos has shown his true colours for me. I’d be amazed if we see him again. No malice really but he’s not for me.

Jones completes the full mullet transition and goes to oz in my head

Disagree on GJ as I think he’s one we should build a team around.

GT is a tricky one. Just not kicked on as I thought. Still could be useful.

Big Vic. No one disagrees surely ha.

Sheehan I think would be better a division above. Think it’s a tough gig for him playing with us. I’d be pleased if he stayed but would also understand if he went.

The dithering from Sharon over Evatt has been costly in a couple of ways, short-term giving SS zero opportunity for a quick dip into the market to pep the squad up, longer-term causing him some limitations in the Summer to how many he can easily move out to enable the rebuild to be as big-scale as he might want it to be.

While we've some reaching the end of contract that he'd no doubt be ok with moving on, he's stuck with one or two still on deals that won't be easy to shift out.

As many have said, our two big failings are in both final thirds, we let too many in and don't take enough chances. Rebuild focus needs to be on those areas, though we also need more physicality in midfield.

Not normally one to blame officiating on out comes but that Lino did not no what day it is, let alone how offside their chap was.

I’m not sure what you’re referring to but for their first goal, Collins played the goal scorer onside, as the defence came out, while Johnston was behind Forrester and Forino to play the second goal scorer onside.

Blaming officials to deflect from our own deficiencies was a trait of the Evatt regime. There were enough of our own problems yesterday to render the performance of the officials irrelevant.

After watching yesterday it's surprising we have scored so many..... The supply into the box from JDC and CMG was woeful mostly and when we do put the ball into a dangerous area we have a great knack of no one being anywhere near it.

Been an issue for a couple of seasons, because Evatt was obsessed with bringing in forwards that weren't natural goal poachers and don't like scoring scruffy goals. While our wide men haven't always been that sparkling at supply, their task has been made trickier because the strikers all want it cut back to the penalty spot and won't go into the 'corridor of uncertainty', nor do they want it in the air. I've seen plenty of really good balls fired into that area on the deck or in the air by JDC, Williams, Schon and others before them that have gone to waste.

There's certainly none of our forwards that want to take a chance of getting hurt to score that's for sure.

The squad has been unbalanced due to that shocker of a summer window. We weren’t terrible yesterday but we didn’t look like a team chasing playoffs either.

If Tutu isn’t playing well then we look pretty toothless out wide. Still no idea what Schon brings to the table, it’s certainly not goals or assists. Thought Randall played well when he came on.

I like Thomason but he’s not good enough to start for a team chasing promotion at this level.

Same.     Just read thay Morley got sent off and we had one cleared off the line !

Whether we go up or stay down, there will be a massive clear out of players, and that won't be a bad thing

Individually, player for player, we have some talent. Freed now from the shackles of Evatt-ball & they should be flying. I fear too many are now unable to play any other way.

We've all known for ages that we need steel in midfield and at Centre-Forward (whatever that's called now).

Turfing Evatt too late for Schu to do anything, letting Evatt buy Randall at that stage was crackers. Randall may show himself to be a top player but was NOT what was needed.
