Early, but am I weird to be kinda looking forward to a fresh season under Schuey, with some of his players to come in? 

Just trying to move on from this catastrophe of a season as quickly as possible for my own sanity.

We know Cardiff City & Plymouth are joining us along with one other of either Hull City, Luton Town, PNE, Derby or Stoke. Would like Hull or PNE personally, think they'd be less of a challenge than the others.

Port Vale, Doncaster joining too along with potentially Bradford and one more. Nice to see some northern clubs coming.

Glad to see the back of Brum and Wrexham. I think as it stands we will be the favourite to go up, will also have the leagues largest attendances, and probably the biggest club by some distance with big hitters less prominent. Pressure will be greater than ever, yet I'm looking forward to it.

Its been one long season, I guess the first thing everybody needs is a big long break.

 

Not weird at all. I just want to see the end of this season. It’s been one balls up after another with everyone from the top (sorry Sharon), IE and CM all in the frame. Dispensing with the services of Gilks has  cost us. Management, decision making and team selection has been shite and the handling of Santos’s troubles and delaying of the obvious has cost us a season.

At least a season.

First time I’ve been more excited about post season than actual. A very important summer coming up. Cant wait to see Schumacher and Harkin work their magic

I don't think we'll be anyone's favourites to go up.  The relegated sides and whoever misses out in the play offs this time will all be above us in the bookies thinking.

Our fans, and those of Huddersfield, Blackpool, Peterborough, Barnsley, Blackpool, Rotherham & Wigan will all be thinking we can't have a season as bad as last.

Think next season will be tough, looking forward to the recruitment and seeing a preseason under ss. It will be more competitive in the top 10 with the teams coming down and what’s already there, but with the new system and drive no reason why we can’t Finnish top six .

At least we will be free of sides with finances more suited to the Premiership then Div 1 and all the hype that went with them.

It will all depend on recruitment and who leaves until then I will reserve judgement looking forward to a break from football .

Reckon most of us still fancied that we'd be there or thereabouts this season, but it didn't happen.

Few games in, and get a flavour for what SS is doing.

Think it might take more than a few games for new players/system to take effect.Hopefully the fans stick with SS and give him and hopefully a very much changed team a chance to gel

See!, that's what we used to say regularly but they always manage to prove us wrong.

Looking forward to competing more next season with a decent game plan and players playing in thier positions just give it a really good go with some passion

Probably, but as a fan you can usually see where it's heading, even if not straight at it.

So long as there are positive signs, then fans will stick with him.

My concern is that, after an initial new-manager bounce the wheels came off well & truly and Schu returned to his own version of Evatt-ball. Or maybe they players did.

With the inevitable outcome.

I want(ed) Schu-ball to be different. Here's hoping for next season.

Must admit, I was a bit surprised we didn't go 4 at the back more often.

I find it hard to believe that our centre halves can only play in a three- I reckon they've all played in a two at some point in their professional career.

He took Plymouth up as Champions playing a very similar style to what we were playing under Evatt. He was just a bit more willing to change it when it wasn't working.

Double over Wigan. 

Double over Blackpool

Double over Stockport if they stay down. 

Double over PNE if they come down. 

Not too arsed about Salford if they come up but we'll have the double over them as well. 

I'll be saying different when the actual fixtures approach but now is the time for over optimism.

Glad to see the back of this season.

Only real positive from it is not having to try to like Evatt anymore.

I suppose if they move the ball quick and aren't a bunch of pussies it doesn't matter what the formation is

SS has played 532, 433 and 4231, he tended to play 4231 more at Stoke.

Managers are people and they change over time, their understanding of the players at their disposal and their own tactical abilities. If SS is saying we need both strength and pace with wingers in the team, hes going the 433 and 4231 route, as you dont sign wingers to play at the back wing like we did with Sadlier.
