I would put Tutu before step over Cissoko and Forss before Dempsey; desperado team for me with Forss starting ahead of Dempsey

It’s one of those where I can see lots of justification for lots of players to start, so I wouldn’t be disappointed at all to see Forss start, or indeed many of the others mentioned.

My only disappointment would be any injuries we don’t know about or seeing Randall start! 😂

Absolutely spins my nut when people expect players who’ve been out injured for 5 or 6 weeks and not kicked a ball to come back in to a side. Seeing shouts of Erhahon and Gale from a few people

we have the luxury of a) not having to rush them back and b) players playing well in their absence

Sheehan has been purring the last few weeks for club and country, then Cissoko feels like he’s turning a corner.

so let them continue and if we can introduce the returning players later on in the game to get them some minutes and build them up fitness wise then great

I’m with you on this Barry - absolutely no need to rush anyone back.

But if we do see the likes of Gale/Erhahon (probably as you say, more likely from the bench) then we’ll know SS thinks they are good to go)

Can’t believe there’s just 6 points between us & 16th. 4 points from the next 2 before the cup games would be ideal. 6 points & I’ll be giddy.

Yup.

Today we could go top if we win by more goals than Cardiff and Stevenage or we could lose and drop out of the playoff spots to 7th.

Mental this league this season.

If, given the players available, Schu picks Randall then the guy must be God's gift in training.

Crazy really. We're actually on the exact same points as last season after the same number of games, but last season that had us in 9th, 9 points off top.

We'd have to win the next 4 in a row to get to the 2 PTS per game average usually needed to be top 2. Such a weird division this year.

Shows it's there for the taking though if we can get a run together.

Because he’s been playing well in that position!

He’s not been a wing back!

And we Know he’ll defend when he has to in that position.

Not sure why it would be viewed negatively if he starts there.

He played well granted against Oldham......Not sure Schumacher is happy as yet with anyone wide left. Gomes, Gale, Tutu and Forss have had the shirt at one time or the other and only Gale looks comfortable. I and others have said give Conway a run there and Taylor at left back but SS has said thats a non starter.....In all honesty left wing is not a problem it is the 10 that will interest me when the team is revealed and i hope to see Dempsey in that spot.

Should be a belter. If we can win and if we can go top then really gives us some momentum to keep pushing on.  Unlike Evatt I think SS will be able to handle the pressure of us out in front (as he did at Plymouth).  If if if.

Meanwhile for those who care about these things, on the seat map front only single seats left now (355 of them!).

Yes I agree - the number 10 and midfield combination is the most intriguing part of today’s line up, and I also hope it includes Dempsey.

Christie or JDC is also interesting. No idea which way it goes - I’d lean to Christie just for physicality and an old head / experience.

Personally, I don’t think he’s fucking about with the formation, it’s just about who goes in which position.

I’m going

                           TSL

Christie.     Toal.    Johnston.  Conway

                 Sheehan. Simons

                       Dempsey

   ACD.                                       Tutu

                        Burstow

Could be Cogley. Could be Cissoko. And could be Forss.

If this Morley rumour is true then it will be because he wants two 8’s in front of Sheehan - Dempsey and Morley.

Fantastic that we have a such options available at the moment.

Aye I’d go with that. Possibly gale in for tutu if fit.

COYWM get at them from the first whistle.

As to be Christie JDC couldn’t cope with Humphries last season .

My thoughts exactly.  I don't care who starts, they can all be good/great on their day, they can all have an off day or a quiet day.  Eg Forss,  Burstow, Simons could be match winners, they could have a game where others step up and it passes them by a bit, its happened.  None of us know, I'm happy for them to just get on with it - but agree the only consistent negative has been Randall.  If he starts I'll back him, but he wouldn't even be on the bench for me given how many alternatives we have.

I think Dans potential starting line up in the BN today is spot on for me but more interesting will be the bench. I can’t even begin to guess who might be on there but whoever they are there’s going to be some very disappointed players come 3pm and with everybody fit that’s going to be a big challenge for SS going forward. The good thing is with Christmas coming up and busy schedules with league and cup we know we’ll have strong sides whoever plays unlike I suspect some of the competition.

I’d like to see Erahon start instead of Sheehan who I love but he’s played for wales and think we need more physicality today and for same reason I’d start Dalby alongside Burstow.

I think Humphries is playing as a centre forward for Bradford, don't think our right back will have to be concerned too much.  He had a field day for Wigan on the right wing a couple of years ago, that would have been opposite side to Cogley.

Humph’s not first choice though is he, I think he’s more a sub but given his history with us that might change today. To be fair they do have some other good strikers who could trouble our defence both on the ground and aerially with Cook, Swan, Pointon and of course Sarce and they tend to attack in numbers so we need to be switched on. Thankfully whilst they’re pressing forward we have the pace to catch them out when they do.

Bratfurt 2....

It's gonna be a humdinger...

It will be a comfortable win for us 🙂

Given Bradford’s likely line up and their poor recent run I can imagine this will be a feisty game that they will be totally up for - it’s a Graham Alexander team and they’ll have been fed raw meat all week.
Hoping we get a decent ref that doesn’t let it get out of hand, that our players keep their cool and don’t get sent off and that nobody gets injured - although I reckon the likes of ACD, Conway and Sheehan will get targeted for a physical mauling.

If we continue to defend as a team as we have been doing recently we have the pace to transition into attack quickly and that could be a great asset as Bradford have tended to attack in numbers this season which will create space for us to break into. This is not a game for JDC to be throwing himself to the ground and claiming a foul every 5 minutes - he needs to stand up and be counted if it gets physical.

Everyone needs to be on it today - I have an uneasy feeling that anything but our best won’t be good enough.

That said, we could batter them.

Darren Drysdales the ref lusty considered one of the worst in L1 so I think we need to be very careful of any intimidation from Bradford and not rise to it. To be fair our disciplinary records been pretty good this year so hopefully we won’t and it will be Bradford who feel the brunt?
