Tombwfc Posted November 22, 2025 Posted November 22, 2025 Agree with the general sentiment that we were well on top in the first half and it was an even second. Think both managers will be happy enough with a draw. Given we've tended to not win these type of games at home but lose away, feels a bit of a missed opportunity. But it's clear this season will be a battle for promotion rather than us (or anyone else) running away with it.Ā In games we aren't losing I'd say bringing Dalby on is a negative. Need better competition for Burstow in Jan. Quote

worthy10 Posted November 22, 2025 Posted November 22, 2025 (edited) Unfortunately a familiar story of missed chances in the 1st half. 2nd half was more even and Bradford grew in confidence at not being behind. I don't think we play the dark arts? But Bradford certainly did today with cynical fouls and time wasting. Max Conway was poor today, but generally I thought we defended really well. I prefer Christie to cogley. ACD had a quite game today, he had a few chances in the 1st half but didn't feature much thereafter against a full back who had been on a yellow card for most of the match. I'm not a big fan of morleys, he rarely plays anything other than the predictable, safe pass, cannot tackle and doesn't run forward with the ball. That said, I thought simons wasn't great when he replaced him. Our shots to converted chances is awful, but with a deep squad, we will be there or thereabouts. The bookies still fancy us Edited November 22, 2025 by worthy10 . Quote

Eavesy Posted November 22, 2025 Posted November 22, 2025 Max conway wasnāt great because he had that clown in front of him hiding. If Osei tutu actually showed and gave Conway an option, then Conway wouldnāt need to try risky inside passes to burstow or Dempsey or whoever else. The sooner Gale is back the better. Conway is miles better then because he actually has a footballer to help him out Quote
Kane57 Posted November 22, 2025 Posted November 22, 2025 Ref was shit too. Crapped out of dealing with the time wasting keeper and also booked Power but let him off kicking the ball into the stands a minute later. Bald prickĀ Quote

London Wanderer Posted November 22, 2025 Posted November 22, 2025 (edited) Dalby doesn't seem to suit our style of fast attacking play when we're driving forward. But there's still time for him to adapt & for others in the team to give him better service. We're still making a lot of poor decisions in the final third and lacking a clinical edge at times. Looking solid at the back.Ā In a really good position now, just need to keep improving and finishing teams off. Would rather have won this and got a point at Luton. Nothing to say we can't go there and take all three though.Ā Edited November 22, 2025 by London Wanderer Quote

MancWanderer Posted November 22, 2025 Posted November 22, 2025 Disappointing result but another point on the board and another unbeaten game at home. Couldāve, shouldāve won by scoring first half and putting them out of sight but we didnāt so hey ho Anyone moaning about teams behind us with games in hand. We know from experience how easy it is to piss that advantage away so Iāll take the points in the board thanks. Also, the other week, when everyone around us lost or at lost points Iāll take the point, the money from a full away end, and wait for āthe view from the other sideā as theyāll take it as a point gained I reckonĀ Onwards and upwards Quote

Lostock Whites Posted November 22, 2025 Posted November 22, 2025 (edited) Frustrating not to win but we've almost been gifted a fair bit recently with all the late goals. A point and a clean sheet can carry on our momentum. I think the international break made us lose a bit of our sharpness, a fair few scuffed passes and shots. Saying that we really could have been 3-0 up at half time. Massive chance for Tutu and ACD could have easily had a couple. If you don't win you don't lose. Bradford were well organised but having seen pretty much all the more fancied sides and how open this league is, it's gotta give us the emphasis to get the job done this year surely.Ā Schuey has got us set up really well. We control games, have a bucket load of chances and shots per game. Whereas most teams struggle to create any real chances and we are getting clean sheets consecutively.Ā Just how good is it seeing us compete in these big games. Christie's slide tackle just 10 seconds into the game in front of nearly 27,000 spectators. Bolton Wanderers is back.Ā Edited November 22, 2025 by Lostock Whites Quote

Anything more cultured than that's outside his comfort zone. I donāt think heās got his stamina levels high enough yet, itās a regular occurrence that heās on his arse for the last 10 mins of the game. He was poor today on the ball and going forward, touch was off from the first minute, but to be fair he defended well. We should have won it in the first half an hour by taking one of those 3 chances. Other than a long throw or a corner, they wouldnāt have scored if we were still playing tomorrow - they were shit and 1 goal would have won it for us. We just lacked any quality today. Other than Toal (who was far and away the best player on the pitch), GJ (who had another good game) and TSL (feels like heās showing what he can do now, great save at the end!), not one of them had a good game. 5/6 out of 10 all over the pitch - first touches poor, decision making poor, shooting poor. So be it. These things happen. At least we didnāt find a way to lose it. Unbeaten at home still and in no way bothered about Bradfordās challenge for promotion - weāre streets ahead of them and will be 10-15 points clear of them come the end of the season. edit - great to see Dempsey back. Considering how long heās been out for, it was a decent first start back. I donāt think he was helped with Morley pushed up alongside him, heās better given a freer role with 2 behind IMO. He looks sharp though and heād be my starter in that ā10ā role for the next few games. Edited November 22, 2025 by Eddie Quote
