Could of waited for the out cone of the fa cup first if they can’t be arsed re arranging Stevenage and Barnsley from September There’s a quirk in that one that Barnsley play Peterborough so does look like something might end up on that weekend. Pretty sure Rotherham last season initially changed to midweek then went to a free Saturday later on.

Expensive month for some. Peterborough might get rearranged for FA Cup tbf and I’ve long since given up on Wigan as a boozy day so ends up being one of the cheapest of the season. Wimbledon trains the cheapest London trip for a LONG time, and I suppose I better cash in on a Club Avanti freebie for Stevenage. Got to look for the positives 😎

Might be a lot warmer, and less chance of a hammy! 😀 Tough gig on the St Vincent and The Grenadines last Saturday. They (St Lucia) lost 3-1. Be fun training in rain and snow at -2c tomorrow. January 17Jan 17 Finally it’s here. Tough, tough away fixture against a team struggling with consistency but with enough games in hand to overtake us if they win them. Could do with a win to put some daylight between us and those behind.
January 17Jan 17 Would love to see the same starting 11 but know that’s unlikely, although the back 3 and wing backs should stay the same. Can see EE for Simons and maybe Demps starting.

January 18Jan 18 id usually have this down as a defeat,.but I'm really hoping we can kick on from yesterday this will be a bigger test, wigan arguably the worst team I've seen this season 1-1

January 18Jan 18 We wont nor should we go back to the same system pre yesterday. We have gone from a squad with many options to a very limited one if we deploy the same as Yesterday. The back 5 cannot change, we could have played Forrester and Cogley but that is now not a option.......Taylor and Christie are surplus and would not be considered in a back 5...Erhahon can swap with Simons. Dempsey/Morley for Sheehan Gale for ACD and Mcatee for Either Dalby/Burstow. If we keep a back 5 until the end of the season a right wing back and centre back needs bringing in asap a week after we got rid of one of each. Taylor Christy one of Dempsey/Morley Forss Randall Cissoko Those 6 will struggle to get another game this season and if we move them on maybe better for all involved

All potentially have a role to play in home games where I don't think we'll utilise that system as often. Temple is our 4th centre-back. Edited January 18Jan 18 by jmjhb

He did more in the final 15 minutes (plus injury time) than Simons had managed in the previous 75 minutes. To say Dempsey will struggle get another game this season, shows a clear ignorance of what he offers us.
January 18Jan 18 Our leading midfield goalscorer possibly? Sheehan has grabbed some recently, but Dempsey remains our greatest threat from midfield.
January 18Jan 18 Need to be beating these convincingly they're terrible atm and are sinking fast. Think it should be the same starting 11 but with it being Tuesday, we might see some rotation. Maybe McAtee or Forss starting for Burstow and Erhahon or Dempsey for Simons and or Sheehan. Question for me is do we stick with 523/ 343 or go with 4231, for me the way we played yesterday was more than a formation change, we also got the ball down the channels and into the wing more effectively, all our best opportunities come from it and our goal come from the clearance of a cross. Has he seen the light regarding crosses coming from peoples natual foot. IDK but if he has we could see its return, but maybe not away maybe at home against Leyton Orient.

I am far from saying Dempsey will get another game again this season.....but the facts are if we play this system we employ one creative midfielder currently Sheehan one defensive Midfielder Simons and one winger with a free role ACD Players like Demps,Gale good players as they are are now not first choice. No use saying Dempsey did more in 15mins than Simons.....If Simons gets dropped because he he had a bad 75 Erhahon takes his place. Dempsey has started in the 10 before we changed the system, we do not play a 10 in the new system Edited January 18Jan 18 by masi 51
January 18Jan 18 Dempsey is not, and never has been, a 10. He is an 8. A 10 is a forward who drops deep to receive the ball and push forward. An 8 is an attacking midfielder who also tracks back and makes tackles; what used to be called a box-to-box midfielder. When Dempsey started, he did so as an 8 in a three man midfield. We did not play a 10 in those games. Dempsey is a unique player in our squad and one we’d do well to cherish.
January 18Jan 18 Seems bizarre that after any away win people talk as though they've picked the team for the next 20 games. We won't be playing the same formation every game from now on with the same 11 starting 90% of the time. It just won't happen so it's pointless to argue it.
January 18Jan 18 Are people who go week in week out actually so out of touch what is required to set a team up like SS did yesterday 3 centre halfs 2 wingbacks must be able to get up and down all game 1 defensive midfielder 1 creative midfielder 1 winger with free role 2 forwards That is SS system yesterday and more than likely how he will set up Tuesday. You can have Dempsey in your team but Sheehan will not start. Yes he may change it with substitutions but you need the foundations laying
