Yes I'd leave out all the first teamers if it was an option to avoid injury, but there's plenty of time for a break coming up if we're just talking about tiredness. Its wierd how we all think players need a break these days, they never used to, the team only changed if there were injuries and that applied to all the Sherpa Van Trophy games, cup replays, 1st and 2nd leg cup ties etc. because there all suppose to be athletes these days and not cart horses can’t play to many games or on a shitty pitch and there hamstrings go pop . But you’re making it sound like there’s no reasons whatsoever to play him. - It’s a game Schumacher wants to win - He’d like to have a captain out there to hold together some continuity - It provides some leadership and experience out there for the younger ones and ones on the periphery - There’s 11 days till our next league game - he may well not consider it a risk - Him playing will add to our chances of winning this game, keeping confidence and this winning run going - Every other position has someone there who needs game time to prove themself, in terms of realistically breaking into the first 11 - He’s one of a number of players who fits the eligibility criteria Now you could argue against every single one of those points, but if GJ plays, I suspect SS will have taken all that into consideration, which to me seems reasonable and understandable. Whitesince63 Posted November 11, 2025 Posted November 11, 2025 Still a very strong looking side that and hard to believe it’s effectively our second eleven. Think there could be multiple changes at HT to give everyone a chance of some minutes. Strangely looking forward to the game. 😁 Quote
Wanderlust Posted November 11, 2025 Posted November 11, 2025 Wanderers TV and SKY? Happy days in this foreign land 😎 Just need to persuade the missus to go out with her mates now. Quote

Well he isn’t playing which is the correct decision. we don’t know what state farino or toal will come back in madness to risk him Quote
Eddie Posted November 11, 2025 Posted November 11, 2025 Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s given a few some time off so they could maybe go away for a few days before a busy Christmas period - hence not having some of the ever presents even on the bench (although not sure if that works for some but not others).
