Bit more in depth and a better picture ...

Let’s hope so…. If we keep winning or even playing well don’t change the system and only rotate players when absolutely necessary.

Not convinced he will but we have no distraction with cup games, would love us to play our strongest team to the end of the season, dalby/ burstow partnership would develop an understanding as would the whole team. We played like a band of brothers yesterday, loved Johnstone carrying on giving instructions to the huddle as toal did the coin toss.

That's class can proper make me and boy out. People slag these vlogs but you'd never see that otherwise.

Wish they were around to film the paddock or MNR

It would be something else.

Can you imagine a vlog from the MNR any time between 1979 and about 1989? GMP would be all over it the minute it was published.

I like them too. That chubby little Wigan lad Cozby always does good ones and I end up feeling sorry for him while enjoying the disappointment of the Lonsdale wearing desponds sitting around him in that side stand near the away end.

How good would that have been… some proper characters back then.

That vlog from that era is safely locked in my memory… same for you…. Mad, bad & brilliant times.

74-1979 was even better.

A bit from the Wigan side near the Wanderers fans ...

25 seconds to go - you see Johnston try and head a bottle that was launched at him, made me chuckle yesterday.

I think there would very quickly be some "questions asked" if someone had been in the MNR filming. The device doing the filming may have very quickly found itself down on the running track. The person doing the filming may have followed.

Where's all the champ manager experts, doomongers and hysterical know it all cock jockeys today then?

I'm missing the 14 paragraph analysis on what systems we should be playing and all the old players we shouldn't have let go.

I can give you a 14 letter word for yesterday.......accomplishedly. Which to me  sums up how we set up and played yesterday

He did make a significant change, and it yielded a positive result.

Something needed to happen, and thankfully it worked.

Yep. He's been trying everything he could bar a proper system change.

Sign of a good manager.

Hope and pray it now kicks us on.

A number were asking for such a change, so maybe it was quite reasonable.

Some of the criticism was fair too- I was disappointed in his subbing of Sheehan just before half time, as I thought it may be counterproductive.

It seems that meetings were had, and SS explained that some words were said.

Outgoings in personnel, and outpourings of concerns appear to have done the trick- judging by the effort and togetherness on show.

A good clearing of the air.

Stick with it now, and they can move on.

All agreed.

Folk were right to be worried and moan.

There were/are 100% dicks that revell in it all though.

Know it all cranks that think they are football managers and can't wait to pounce.

I was chuffed he made a system change that suited the players at his disposal rather than trying to shoehorn players into a system. A lot on here have been asking for it for ages. Still needs a couple of tweaks, but it was much better than the fodder we got over Xmas.

Very happy with the back 3 allowing Tutu and Conway to push on, midfield was tight and Dalby led the line well and was far less isolated, so we just need to be more ruthless when we get chances IMO.

Loved it yesterday, apart from the mental scenes with all the flares on the concourse at half time. Stunk when I got back to my seat.

To a man, everyone put in a shift and showed it meant something. Loved that and pleased for Schuey given all the bellends calling for his head these last few games. It’s not been great and I’ve been disappointed too but you’ve gotta have some faith and loyalty. Still a long way to go in his master plan for me. People expect instant results these days.

On the game, the only criticism I’d have would be that I still wanted the ball moved forward quicker and some of the lads to show a little bravery and have a pot. Not loads of chances created and still took the safe option overplaying at times. I suppose it can be understood given the circumstances.

How poor were they, Christ!! That was the worst performance I’ve seen from a Wigan side for a long time. They offered more at our gaff not so long ago.

Let’s hope that win gives the lads some confidence to build on now

Wigan have to be the worst side we've faced all season.

They used to have some winners/characters, but now they have a midfield made up of pretty boy types.

Been the case all season regardless of system

Hopefully this new one creates better chances with the right players in the right places ready to take them

Crying out for a sniffer aren't we.

We'd be flying with a Billy Sharp.

Have I dreamt this? Or did we used to sing

'Oh I'd rather have a pastie than a pie' when we played Wigan?

To the time of 'She'll be coming round the mountain'?

I think we should resurrect it! 😂
