  • Depends what you're judging your improvement on? Last season was a shit show. SS had to change the whole system, mantra and introduce a full new attacking line up as well as midfield and goalkeep

If you lose against the marooned bottom of the table side while chasing promotion the mood afterwards is going to be sour - players, fans, everyone associated. On top of that we know that the number 1

  • We drew 0-0, let's blame Sheehan. We drew 0-0, let's blame Toal We drew 0-0, let's blame xyz Defence kept a clean sheet, the bare minimum we expect/hope for. 23 shots, only 3 on target

Stockport genuinely looking like dropping out of the play offs

More chance we will way it’s going they just got a draw with Luton and 2 games in hand

Apter on the left first half was a bad advert for the wingers on the"right" side crew. No right foot. Defender shows him down the line, piece of piss to defend.

Yet another example of the manager having a punt?

If we cant score a goal against Donny and PV, we have serious issues!

I’ll try again

This is nothing to do with my views on our own team or ability. It is a reflection on how strange this league is that I expect most team’s fans in the top half of the league will be in a similar mindset to us.

And they'd still be below us if they won them both.

Who are all these teams making up 7+ points on us in 7 games.

Your right, but i will try again, no goals against Donny and PV we have serious issues. Now then, let me think? Im sure SS will blame the pitch?

It’s probably not the time to have this discussion because clearly everyone is still rightly pissed off with that game and so emotions are high.

We’ve got 7 games left, if you look at the form table for the last 5 games - Plymouth are going like a train and would be a worry, Stevenage have 1 more point than us, every other team (ignoring Lincoln) that are in the play off mix have less points than us.

Our form is a concern in terms of having a chance in the play offs, but linked to my other post, there aren’t enough clubs in form that it’s enough of a concern for us to drop out of them altogether!

A diabolical result. Abysmal.

It felt during the week with all the talk from SS about the pitch at Vale Park that we were going in to this in the wrong frame of mind.

The top end of the division has definitely been crushed by the form of Lincoln - you can see it in the of everyone from 2-8th.  The fact remains that if we had won these last three games we would have Cardiff in our sights.

The international break is a chance to freshen up and reset - in mind as well as body. That very much includes the manager.

After a truly dreadful 1-0 defeat at Port Vale, the Championship naturally feels miles away - yet promotion is still up for grabs. All concerned need to sharpen up and create some rigour and cohesion.

At some point in the next 10 days we as fans are going to have to draw a line and get behind the team again as well. It really is not the right time to be saying that because none of us are in the mood (and I know after today they do not deserve it). But we have to be out of this league - and the fans are going to be important in creating the right mood music in April and May.

You're right. Glad you put that because I was starting to worry that we're gna fuck this up looking at our remaining fixtures.

I think your right mate, my blood pressure is through the roof, maybe more rational discussions tomorrow.

We're still 1/66 to make the playoffs. Now that's concerning in itself as we were 1/500 on Tuesday and bookies had suspended bets on it last week.

Just seen someone saying there was scrapping in our end today

Clueless management.

The man famous for being flexible has become inflexible but only when it comes to us.

You have to take into account who you are playing as well we have just had two points from Rotherham , Doncaster , vale the run in teams are a lot harder we’re going to be up against teams trying to secure a play offs place

Just seen SS interview and to be fair to him he's pretty much spot on

I feel like I've seen enough of Bonham at this point. Too many mistakes. Never a #1 keeper, backup at best like every keeper we've had since Trafford.

Good. At least there's some showing fight.

Fair point, and I’ve no idea how hard the others have had it.

I still have zero concern that we won’t make the play offs though (I have considerable concern about how good we’ll be in them!)

Schumacher needs to ask himself if he really wants this job, Toal doesn't even look well and has been awful recently, Ozzy22 is playing as if its a protest to say "see, told you I'm never a defender, Forino looks more like the coach driver than a footballer, apter obviously doesn't wanna be here, Burstow gave over trying in November, and we were reminded why Simons doesn't get a game as he's completely ineffective.

Sorry but today was laughable and if anyone was still having thoughts that we might play in a higher league next season, give your head a good shake.

Plymouth for one. Stockport and Huddersfield. Stevenage and Bradfotd

I am probably in the minority on here but I am not confident of us making the play offs the upcoming games are all tough and out recent performances have been poor at best.
