We get bigger crowds now than we did in the later stages of the prem era and championship times. That Tranmere cup semi final attendance always makes me shudder. Few seasons before we'd packed Burnden out v Swindon yet we could barely manage 13k on. The Villa semi was as bad. Embarrassing in fact. We've definitely gained a lot of support north of Bolton by being in Horwich, towns like Leyland and Chorley are all big Bolton bases, miles more than they used to be. Agreed a great fanbase now, we owe a debt of gratitude to Sharon etc who have brought back the feelgood factor and pride, and of course cheaper S/Ts. The prices are so attractive now that loads just don't do midweek games but still buy a S/T because they are still worth it, especially (but not only) kids. Whilst the 13k v Tranmere was terrible, a bit of perspective. We were in the middle of a terrible run, the fanbase was pissed off. We got less than 10k for the quarter final, then had a terrible run losing a run of "derbies" against Stockport, Tranmere and Blackburn topped off by that infamous 2-0 loss at Walsall. Fans weren't up for it, understandably and it was a freezing January night. 13k was the same crowd as we got for league games around that time, so the equivalent of getting 22k for a semi now - quite impressive in that context given the run we were on. It can't be compared to the Swindon one (played in March) when the feel around Burnden was as good as its been, and we went up that season in our best season for 15+ years. Chalk and cheese. Quote
Ani Posted Wednesday at 22:22 Posted Wednesday at 22:22 Well I found out today that we do not Row Q in the ground. We sit on Row P and bought the seats directly behind us which turns out is Row OÂ Sat in same seat since second at the Reebok and never noticed before. Quote

Wife and Son site directly behind us.. we managed to get two tickets as they had come available.. Apparently the seat behind me has a restricted view.. There's only me in front, but there was a small kid sat there a few seasons back haha Quote

BeeversLeftPeg Posted yesterday at 07:31 Posted yesterday at 07:31 Reckon it's pushing 20/21k now for weekend. The season tickets opening up last night might see another push in sales next couple of days. Â Quote

Maybe we should have let Bradford have the whole stand. Â Quote

Whitestar Posted yesterday at 08:44 Posted yesterday at 08:44 Is the slow uptake for tickets concerning? Or is it the once bitten twice shy effect?. Are tickets available on Saturday? If so it would only take a sunny day and a couple of pints to make loads of people change their minds. Quote
Bradshaw White Posted yesterday at 08:51 Posted yesterday at 08:51 Currently in a Q to get on to the site. Can only mean that’s a good sign.  Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted yesterday at 08:53 Posted yesterday at 08:53 Wouldn’t necessarily say it’s a slow uptake, it’s just an even spread around the ground when you think how many tickets are actually available for our fans Quote

Rival Son Posted yesterday at 09:14 Posted yesterday at 09:14 29 minutes ago, freds dad said: ££££ Rachel Reeves takes 20% to waste, the EFL then take 50% of the remaining 80%. We then have to give 50% of the remaining 40% to Bradford. So, we only get 20% of the ticket revenue, from which we have to pay additional stewarding costs of a segregated lower tier. All this to give our opponents a bigger presence and backing at our home leg. Give your head a shake! Quote

meanderson93 Posted yesterday at 10:02 Posted yesterday at 10:02 I've heard Kenny is done, won't see him again, gutted he's been a huge reason for our improved attacking output. Dalby likely only fit for if we get to the final. Simons and EE should be available. CBT not a chance, he's been on holiday since his injury. Quote
