Congratulations on promotion. Most Wrexham fans were hoping you stuff those Stockport scruffs, and you did. 👏 As a rough guide we spent around £30-35 million last summer and just missed out on th

I'd snatch your hand off for fourth from bottom right now.  Next season is about staying up unless we get some major investment from somewhere over the summer.

Absolutely no gimmes there. Hope our fans remain realistic first season back.  Would take bottom half and staying up first season.  Whilst winning the FA Cup

Definitely was. I was in Manny Road North and he looked so small when he went in net! Defence were great at protecting him best they could. We hung on to get a 2-1 win, and I think SJM got one of the two goals!

I was in the Burnden Paddock... obviously that was all I remember 😆

Maybe not this season but I don’t think we will be fucking around too much in the championship. It feels like the 90s all over again.

Hope you're right.

Did take us a while to get out of league one, and the championship is going to be extremely tough.

Really difficult to call though, as I suspect one or two more relatively unknown players may arrive, which will leave us guessing a touch.

As when we brought in Michael Johannsen and we were offered Per Frandsen as a make-weight.

They were two unreal signings for the championship, at the price and given nobody had heard of them (no highlights reels to look at etc).

Just watching that Barnsley 3-3 draw on the Youtube thread the other day reminded how good the pair of them were, and that wasn't one of their better games, just routine stuff that they excelled at.

Imagine if we’d had Frandsen come to us at 23 rather than 26. He really could have right to the top but was maybe a bit late coming to England. Then again, he played in a World Cup and obviously an illustrious Bolton team in the Premier League so you could argue he did exactly that.

To be that link between the last year at Burnden and playing alongside Djorkaeff, Okocha, Campo etc is pretty special

Teams who go up in this division tend to stay up. Remember someone will financially implode like they do every season. Nothing to fear

Yep. Seems like they've not paid for stewarding

I just clicked on one of them random first match generators. It came up with Bristol City.

Personally I reckon the first match will be either Blackburn, Preston or Burnley on Friday night - YHIHF.

QPR Away and we win 4-0

We're likely to get a few humpings such is the gap between top end of Championship and newly promoted clubs but if we trust in Schuey and stick with him, I'm confident he can stabilise us at this level.

Signings like this bring me back down to earth about how difficult our task is next season.

Blackburn reporting they have sold 7500 season tickets. Surely a club in decline.

Doesn't indicate much of a decline really. 7500 is only a few hundred short of their average over the last 10 years, and there's a couple of months to go yet.

For a club that's been in the Championship for the last 8 years their support is shit and in decline.

In mitigation, when you're in the same division for 8 years, it can lose its appeal.

And while we can definitely say one of the reasons for our increased crowds is the feelgood factor created by our owners added to the best S/T prices we've had at this stadium, the opposite is true at Blackburn. Owners they don't like, relatively expensive S/Ts. It makes us appreciate what we've got even more.

We were in League One for 5 seasons and increased attendances every year.

They sell roughly the same amount of season tickets every year

I'm not sure how their support can be in decline if it's not declining

They are an awful club Blackburn
