Good call - Alan Wipper Wells!! His time of 10.25secs prob wouldn't get to the final now. Daley Thompson winning the Decathlon. Coe & Ovett winning the 1500m & 800m respectively. The 1976 winning time was 10.06 by Hasley Crawford of T&T. Possibly the track in Moscow was slower?

Smiffs
84 in LA, we'd just bought a video recorder and taped the opening ceremony, then played it to anyone who came to the house. This novelty lasted about 6 years. Lunchbox winning gold in the 100m, Daley Thompson was worth watching, and Steve Redgrave, what a mon. Oh, and wimmins beach volleyball. Rest is shit. Oh hang on, I think I knocked one out over the sycronised swimming in 88.

SatanGreavsie
Mark Spitz, winner of 7 golds in '72 Jodie Swallow, GB triathlete from 2004 games. OK, there's a fair owd age difference, but if they married the question would be: is she now Swallow or Spitz?

trotter58
WHOOSH If you're referring to the fact that it was called 'Munich', you're wrong. Spielberg's film, 'Munich' was about the aftermath, not the event itself. Edited July 31, 2008 by trotter58
