Rembrandt Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Who's this Fabrice Muamba playing for t'Under-21s tonight ? Looks a decent player - good holding midfield tackles, good distribution. Worth a punt ? Oh, he's OUR Muamba ?? Fook ! He's had some sort of transplant !
tylswhite Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Stuart Pearce has just said "Fabrice Muamba was absolutley amazing, and its the best ever performance ive ever seen in the holding role in an England shirt". The guy is shit though, get rid of him give the guy a chance and tonight he showed exactly what a good player he is.
waffer cup 07 Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Stuart Pierce says Fabrice Muamba's performance as good a performancse as he's seen from anyone in an England shirt in the holding role.
superjohnmcginlay Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Now come on it was just a tin pot U'21's game
jonathan Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 (edited) I'm sure that game will do wonders for muambas confidence which he said was one of his main motivations for being in the tournament. hopefully megson will take notice and get some feedback from steve wigley who i believe is still part of the under-21 set-up. if you let muamba just do that role of sitting infront of the defence and breaking up the opposition play or keeping danger players marked out the game then he is one of the best young players in the country for that role. don't make him try to be a box-to-box, passing, attacking player as well as his game isn't designed for that. i'm sure if we can bring in one or two quality central midfielders in over the summer i.e. huddlestone, veloso etc who can do the attacking, creative, passing stuff then muamba will have a fantastic season and do what he wants to do. a central midfield 3 of muamba, m davies + (new attacking signing) would be a very good midfield that would def work and complement each other well done tonight muamba for proving to every bwfc supporter what your about and why meggo paid ?5m for him. if you can replicate those types of performances more often than not next season then that price tag will seem like a snip p.s. i'm gald to see Stuart Pearce reserve special praise for muamba in his post match sky interview. the fact that he said he told him infront of all the other players will do him the world of good p.p.s if meggo ever leaves bwfc then i believe that staurt pearce is exactly the kind of manager bolton would want and should get. young, ambitious, passionate, goes off performances, not afraid to make the big decisions and drop players out of form, plays players in the right positions + systems and doesn't try to make them do things they aren't capable of. i feel he got a raw deal when he was at man city as he recieved little board backing and they got rid of him despite decent mid-table success (although he was the guy who paid quite a bit of money for Samaras :S ) Edited June 18, 2009 by jonathan
Guest Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 (edited) He played really well, cant fault him Henry Winter of The Telegraph says: "Muamba gave a masterclass in deep midfield" "Muamba's excellence" Pearce said that "Without Muamba we would have lost" Edited June 19, 2009 by boltondiver
Gaz Nt Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Yes he was different class last night. Reminded me very much of Patrick Viera, and how he used to play. Hopefully the future looks bright.
Mounts Kipper Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 1 month ago the idiots who patrol these websites and newspaper forums were slagging him off big time, yes he has his faults he is miles of the finished article, but you can see he has a very raw talent, as I said then and I will re-iterate now he will play for vastly bigger clubs than BWFC.
Pablo Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 He is a cracking player, he will become a great player too. Wish we had him. You sh?t c?nts!
magic legs Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Hungover this morning and feeling like death, so to hear all these plaudits about one of our boys has cheered me up no end. The reason the filth got dicked by Barcelona is because they didnt have someone doing what Muamba did last night.
Gaz Nt Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Fabrice Muamba policing Barcelona starlet Bojan Krkic expertly - Daily Mail Fabrice Muamba gave a masterclass in deep midfield, breaking up Spanish attacks - Telegraph ?Fabrice Muamba gave as good a performance as a holding midfielder as I have seen, Without him we would have lost?? - Stuart Pearce Well Done Muamba!
Carlos Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Didn't someone justify him being shit because the Birmingham fans thought he was? Laughable. Muamba's shit. He'll always be shit. Muamba is a disaster. he is atrocious! he was awful again yesterday but that sitter he fluffed against villa was a f'king disgrace! reminds me of Diawara. I rank him in terms of shitness with Gerald Cid... In my opinion He's crap Have to agree. He hasn't lived up to expectations and unlikely to actually start in any of the u 21 big games. Squad player only. Just a selection of the plantpots posting on here.

Someone will pop along and say one swallow doesn't a summer make, or something equally as tedious....he does need to become more consistent to be fair, but this boy isn't far off being excellent. Well done fab Edited June 19, 2009 by jules_darby

Like Arsenal perhaps? Oh aye,Wenger had Muamba on his books and fooked him off to Birmingham.
Guest quins Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Like Arsenal perhaps?Oh aye,Wenger had Muamba on his books and fooked him off to Birmingham. He also had Upson and Bentley on his books and 'fooked them' off too; wouldn't mind either of them at Bolton though
Carlos Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Like Arsenal perhaps?Oh aye,Wenger had Muamba on his books and fooked him off to Birmingham. He fooked him off for ?4m as an 18 year old, he was hardly released on a free.
wovlad Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 What Muamba really needs to shine in a Wanderers shirt is a midfield playmaker along side him. Hopefully Megson can sort that out in the summer. As has been said the role he currently uses Muamba in, a box to box midfielder he is'nt.
