Guest Frandsen08 Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 As shit as Taylor was when he came on, he did more running in 20 mins than petrov did in 70. Prob put more crosses in he box too. Agree with the headless chicken statement, but I think he was just trying too hard spot on that homer. seemed to me like he was trying so bad to make an impression.cant fault him for his effort, he seems desperate to get in the 1st team
Casino Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Their goal was offside from what ive been told. Our full backs are utter, utter shite. They cant defend in a one on one situation and they both cant pass wind. robinsons passing stats are consistently among the best in the team
Ani Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 I am sure people will be commenting on SKDs role in their goal..................
beer_swiller Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Muamba was awfull today, N`Zogbia went past him each time as if he wernt there. Thought Holden was outstanding.
Cheshirewhite Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 We could not cope with any player running at us, I agree muamba and petrov poor. Anyway motd on now let's see the offside goal....bet we are on last!
MOOSE36 Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Apart from holden who was awesomne the other 3 midfielders were shyte yesterday and i mean shyte. Petrov and Lee looked totally lost and muamba just had a shit game. Pleased to come away with a point but really thought it would ave been 3 before the game. Although as said before taylor can be a headless chcicken i would give him a start for CYL and lets see if he can deliver. On the other flank moreno looked very good when he came on but do i think OC will drop Petrov for him next week.................NO Enjoyed the pub and away fan banter, easy to get to and home in warrington for half 5 so ticked all the boxes for me bar fort not getting 3 points. ps - The bouncer in the pub was having a nightmare with fat frank before the match but very funny to watch
MickyD Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 I am sure people will be commenting on SKDs role in their goal.................. well he certainly trapped the ball further than I could kick the fucker! It isn't the first time his skills have let him down though.
RUREADY2ROLL Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 robinsons passing stats are consistently among the best in the team I used to think Robinson was complete tosh but I agree with you on this one. His tackling and passing have been first class (apart from the odd one or two); what does let him down though is his pace but he is never going to improve on that side of his game
RUREADY2ROLL Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 I am sure people will be commenting on SKDs role in their goal.................. Thought SKD had a poor game yesterday; elmander was extremely lightweight as well. And Petrov was useless 1-1 draw was a good result yesterday with so many of our team under performing
bolty58 Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Can't be arsed trawling through this entire thread but on live TV it was very noticeable that Cahill marauding forward left us in the sh1t a couple of times. Also tried to play some fancy football instead of clearing his lines a few times. Not sure he should be as highly rated as he seems to be.
waffer cup 07 Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Thought SKD had a poor game yesterday; elmander was extremely lightweight as well. And Petrov was useless 1-1 draw was a good result yesterday with so many of our team under performing IMO Petrov has been pretty useless in every game gives side balance but contributes little and gives Robinson no cover at all.
superjohnmcginlay Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 IMO Petrov has been pretty useless in every game gives side balance but contributes little and gives Robinson no cover at all. We knew this when we signed him, he attacks doesnt defend, which is probably the reason Robinson gets slated as often as he does myself included

They cant defend in a one on one situation and they both cant pass wind. Chungy looked hungover and Petrov tried hard but it wasnt enough. I thought we were the better team but i dont think we did enough to win it. Moreno looked good when he came on, i would bring him on next week for Petrov instead of Taylor because he was like a headless chicken when he came on. Klasnic would of had a field day today with the amount of knock downs in and around their box because they were allover the place when the ball got knocked long. People finally starting to see it. Happy with a point though
enzo gambaro Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Petrov tried hard Seriously? How pissed were you? Petrov hasn't contributed anything like enough so far this season and, for some reason, Chungy doesn't want to go past defenders anymore. When he first came to the club he was fearless and exciting and defenders were scared to death (in the first half, at least). Easy ball inside almost every time now. Maybe he just needs a breather.

Petrov has put more crosses in than any other player for us this season. He put a few good balls in on Saturday but it wasnt his fault there was no fucker there. Everytime we put a cross in the box Wigan looked dodgy but Elmander was was too busy catching up with play and Davies was fucked. To be honest most of our team didnt play that well but we were still the better team imo and if the linesman wasnt shit we would of had 3 points and not 1.
enzo gambaro Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 He put a few good balls in on Saturday but it wasnt his fault there was no fucker there. I was always led to believe that passes to nobody are, by and large, shit passes. He fannies about too much, he cedes possession too easily, he offers Robinson no cover whatsoever and his contribution when we don't have the ball is minimal. Bargain of the summer? Not so far.
Ratwhite Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Jusy read through all this and all in all "Robinson is Shite" "Muamba was poor" "Petrove is lazy" "Davies almost scored their goal" and "Lee has forgotten he's a winger" One defeat this season, eigth in the league, even goal difference, Elmo scored more in league games to date than all of last season, should have beat manure, could have got somethin at Arsenal (but for refferee). Oh and still in FA cup. Bring on the negative spin masters
MickyD Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Well, the "Still in the FA Cup" is definately the most positive spin I've come across all day!

Oh and still in FA cup. Bring on the negative spin masters The thing is, they are all pretty good summations of performance at one point or another. Chungy is on a fine line, he's been shite apart from some flutters of excellence, which for the most part show him having a good start but as above, shadow of the player he was last season. Been a good start for me but I don't think people are wrong when they are suggesting the above.
HomerJay Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 we were shite. but we kept going and the fans kept backing the team. coyle made a couple of changes (granted only personnel), but he did refesh the team. saying that, we need to improve alot if we are too finish in the top half.

tylswhite Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 We still lack that killer instinct to finish teams off. Look at how many draws weve had that we should of won, we need to start killing teams off. We are pretty high up the table considering I think we can do a lot better. We need our wingers to buck up and bring a bit more consistency. Im enjoying how weve played this season though and im sure we will improve as the season goes on.
Mounts Kipper Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 We have been pretty decent away from home this season, the Wigan performance was below par, however the constant falling over of every wigan player did not help, it broke up our rhythm and suited Wigan.

I am pleased with our position in the league but we could be a lot higher with a far superior points tally. The last two away games we have drawn 1-1 with the opposition goals coming from an offside position. Those 4 'dropped' points would have us in 5th with 16 points. If you look at the games against DMB, Fulham and Villa we could have won these games aswell. This will be the difference between top 10 finish and 11-16th place. I certaintly want to dust off the beach towel and have another European Jolly so let's start finishing teams off, starting with Liverpool on Sunday. COYW
