jayjayoghani
Junior Whites sometimes played the Roadrunner video away game on Monday night. Remember going to the showing of the Leyton Orient game, wasn't it the first time we'd won in London for 50 years?

Before them two it was QPR in 1978!!

leigh white
I made a list of the games since we last won a game in London since 78, i think it was played 27, lost 25 drew 2., before we beat Brentford.
Site Supporter Alf Hartigan Posted May 16, 2019 Site Supporter Share Posted May 16, 2019 My memory is telling me that it was 50 games (not years) but it was at Orient we broke the duck. Where's Malc when you need him?

It was on the 1st of Nov 1986, when we finally won a game in London against Brentford 2-1, a run of eight year without winning a game in the capital. miamiwhite
Seeing as Leigh/Wigan White has got his Rothmans yearbook out now instead of his customary Razzle and Escort, who were the two draws against ? I was at both.

Moderators Casino Posted May 16, 2019 Moderators Share Posted May 16, 2019 I think the Southend win I mentioned had 1500 on Newport win, even less Are they our two lowest league attendances?

That last game of the season away at Cambridge only had 1600 on, i think Bolton took about a 1000.
Site Supporter Alf Hartigan Posted May 16, 2019 Site Supporter Share Posted May 16, 2019 I didn't do any aways during that time, had a Saturday job baleing cardbord boxes at Woolworths, used to run to Moor Lane Bus Station at 6pm, buy a Buff at the bus station newsagents, and then go on the upper tier covering the scores with my thumb until I got to our result, usually a defeat. I'm hoping kids these days are suffering but hoping like that, and we'll come out the same way. It's a special feeling when you do.
