Superb find!! Obviously I’d love my Dad to be still alive (sadly at 105 it would be wishful thinking) but it’s stuff like this that rings so many bells about stuff he told me By 1945 he’d be

Frank Worthington home and away against Man U is up there with best performance by a Bolton player.

Diouf had a blinder up at Newcastle too.

David Lee at Liverpool was pretty good.

Best performance I've ever seen from a Bolton player.

Okocha at Spurs was superb, but taking into account our standings at the time, Lee's performance was outrageous, absolutely ripped them apart.

I wish I could see clips of Frankie in the 3-0 home win and 2-1 away win at Old Trafford.

That reminds me, Ricketts at Old Trafford wasn't too shabby.

Jaaskelainen at Hull 08/09 was an absolute stormer too.

Jussi at Blackburn is worth a mention too. Two penalty saves in the last 5 minutes of the game.

Somebody scored late on

Midweek

He played up front on his own and everything stuck...def post spitting.

The stick he got just got him going

Think Diouf was still on loan for that Brum match…. ‘‘Twas a brilliant performance.

diouf you mean when he scored late on ?

was Jan 2005

he scored but Nolan won it late on, 1-2

was first win in some time

we'd lost 6 in a row before this

much needed, Brum was a tough place to go at the time

ah yes, that late draw stopped it being 7 defeats in a row

and yet we still finished 6th

We always have a month’s glitch in a decent season, don’t we?

I don't think there was many of us there that night either , Great last minute winner though.

Aye drove to that with Captainmed. We were crap apart from Diouf but went bonkers when the winner went in.

Bet there wasn't 500 there

Didnt half have some bad followings around that time.

Remember going Leicester and I swear there wasnt 200 there.

That Brum away game after the boro final was awful too.

Im fairly sure that was the night hierro caught one on his chest and pinged a swerving 50 yard half volley to diouf

Almost as good as okochas one two with djorkaeff across the full width of the pitch...v chelsea?

If we are on about brilliant solo performances you'd have to lob in Fredi Bobic v Ipswich in 02 and Jay Jay against West Ham in 03.

..... plus of course John McGinlay in about half a dozen games v Wolves c1994-1997

Good as he was, judging a performance world class against bradford city, doesnt sit right with me

Don't know if posted before, but nice to see Collymore's smile being wiped off his smug mug,

He gave the side netting some hammer too. A couple of squared balls instead of shots and we could have won by more.
